Another adventures of Ben Cartwright and his sons (Pernell Roberts, Dan Blocker, Michael Landon and Mitch Vogel) as they run and defend their ranch while helping the surrounding community.
It was nice to find this episode on RU-vid after I missed the first 20 minutes of its airing on MeTV. Elizabeth MacRae was always one of my favorite “Southern belle” character actresses. Thanks for uploading this!
Ben sure walks around with a lot of cash, and he hasn't even been paid for the cattle yet. $30 for damages $32 for Candy's pay. $100 loopy's bail $200 damage to town property $2 livery fee $400 Joe's damages $10 barber bribe $300 so the girl can leave town
Well Candy after losing the love of your life in the last movie 🍿 I think you deserve the break that Ben just gave you. However, do you think that you can try to be a good boy now??? Peeelise??? 😱😱😱😱☝️☝️🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Just a few observations about this episode. 1:06 That roulette table had no sides, nothing to hide the mechanisms the dealer used to cheat. . Pretty ridiculous to think no one would have ever discovered the cheating before. 2:33 The way they were carrying on, if they really did that there would have been people getting shot all the time by stray bullets. But funny scene though. 4:12 Hilarious how Ben is so shocked over having to pay $30 when later in the episode he's dropping $300 here and $500 there like money is going out of style. 4:42 The crooked sheriff at that point is willing to let Ben go at that point only haven gotten $30 from him. Why woudln't he have done more to extort Ben before that? He had no way of knowing the events that would unfold. 8:31 Could anyone really be that stupid? 11:12 Such an obvious stunt double, didn't even look like him doing the fighting for someone too old to be that limber. 29:50 If the sheriff wanted them dead so badly why didn't he shoot them and just say they tried to escape since there were no witnesses? 36:41 Ben puts the blame on the girl too but she has nothing to do with the fines she jsut works in the saloon. 41:02 Deputy is shot in the back but his whole body is visible and no wound. 42:07 The sheriff disarms Ben and has a whole conversation with him about arresting him with Ben hiding in the room partly behind a door. No lawman would do it like that. 42:54 The sheriff brings two witnesses to arrest Ben. Why does he need the two witnesses to make the arrest? 46:05 No complaint here it was great to see that bastard taken down. Reminds me of the arrest of that cop that killed George Floyd. 47:12 A long time has past and now it's pitch black at night and only now Candy thinks to ask to stay on? After Joe took so much risk to save his life?
Listen Oakley… I’m sure your points are valid and all. But it’s a very old show. With very simple plot lines to be honest. An easy watch if you will. We know they’re holes if we really think about it, but we just enjoy it for what it is.
Now the proof is in the pudding and we’ll see if she really and truly wants to escape from that wicked town and leave on the stage coach!!! 😱😱😱🤔🤔🤔☝️☝️🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🥹🥹🥹
