Ben starts to have second thoughts about helping a brutal stockade commander track down three prisoners on the lam. Joe Maross, Gloria Talbott, and Grant Williams guest star.
The look of "oh crap im dead" on little joe's face when he could'nt get around bens chair had me dieng. Brings back memories (some not to long ago) of messing with my own siblings (im the youngest too lol)
And if it was a show made today, she would have not fallen in love, just gone straight to having sex...and that part would be on the screen, not left up to the imagination.
@@user-pd7il3xz5j Yeah, I agree. There's nothing so off-putting as seeing two people who've only just met performing sexual gymnastics in bed. It's so mechanical.
The Cartwrights stole my property. It ain't called the Cartwrightosa. I'm a Ponder, as in Ponderosa! Yeah I heard about the pine tree species...they sre also mine....mine....mine!!!
Just like the commercial for Chiffon soft margarine says, it’s not nice to fool Mother Nature. Also, I might add It’s also not wise to poke Popapa Bear Cartwright. He gets pretty aggressive when someone or 😅😅😅😳😳😳🥺🥺🥺😱😱😱
The girl is Gloria Talbot. I just saw her in a corny movie from 1955 with Jane Wyman and Rock Hudson. It contained the dialog: "She can't make up her mind. She doesn't want to. She wants him to make it up FOR her." Boy, how times have changed. Gloria played Jane's daughter.
Good to see that Ben Cartright got his horse back after the Indians took it in episode 24 lol What happened to the Bonanza theme tune? Hiding it for copyright issues?
8.08 bens speech to the captain and his simmering rage recall ward bonds to a young patrick wayne in the searchers. of course ben is more educated the rev claghorn who ends his speech more coarsely and entertainingly by saying just you blue boys stay the hell out of our way ...boy watch that knife. BEN IS MORE CIVILIZED but the point is still made.brilliant piece of acting by lorne.
The theme gets worse in the later seasons. Big and brassy horns playing the original. But before that, you'll hear the theme from Little House on the Prairie. Joe will have gotten the lifts in his boots and a stuffed sock in his pants.
They do play the original theme in earlier and later episodes.. for a couple seasons on here the downloads have copyright infringements i believe so they had to change it.. 🤠🍺🍻 stay safe y'all !
Guy Williams, I’ve really loved you in the other Bonanza episodes that I’ve liked you as Will Cartwright. However, I wish he would get out of the Calvary army and go back to being Will Cartwright so he can marry that girl. 😅
🤔💭 Something about ‘lil Joe doesn’t look 👀 right to me. 🤦🏼♀️ His JACKET! 😲 Doesn’t he usually wear a green one? 🤷♀️ When they wear the same clothes _every season every episode_ even a small change like *that* really threw me! 🙆🏼♀️ 🤟🏼💋
You got the most valid point this aleways annoys me when marshall dildo on gunsmoke deviates from his usual melon colored shirt and tan vest and pants he wore a stupid bow tie and black suit in earlier episodes and dates with kitty if he had kept up that occasional. Attire he would had whole different image and effect joe usually wears a green jacket i didmt notice it until the range scene showed worse the prisoners are in tshirts sweating nobodies blowing frost and their bundled in thick coats amd gloves im sure they had to call cut and wipe pespiration a lot a times
@@stigtuneback1966 I googled little Joe and it came back to bananza and I googled Charles Engle and it came back little house on the parie so no it's not
@@billyraytrent7500 when you said that the guy playing little joe cartwright looked like the guy playing charles ingals in little house ,did you not mean michael landon ?
@@billyraytrent7500 charles ingalls yes. thats the guy who played little joe in the cartwrights, and also the guy who played the father charles ingalls in little house.
🤣 LOL i like the way @7:30osh that Pa wipes 🧻 and wipes 🧻 at the blood on Adam’s head but it still looks 👀 exactly the same! 🤷♀️ Maybe because when he rubs harder wussy Adam squeals 😱 “take it easy Pa!” 🤦🏼♀️ WAAA!! 😢 Yeah that’s RIGHT you Adam fangirls! 🤭 i called your beloved Adam 🥰 a WUSSY! Na-naa!! 😜 So NOW WHAT?! 👊🏻 HAHAHAA!! 😉🤟🏼💋
I don’t like this theme song 🎶 for Bonanza nearly as well as I like the new one. As a matter of fact I never heard any of these until I started watching these older Bonanza movies 🍿. We didn’t have a tv 📺 set until I lived with my sister and her husband and they had a tv 📺 set. I had lived with my mother 👵🏻 and we didn’t have a tv 📺 set. Mother didn’t believe in having tv 📺 sets.
It's pretty bad when you've been in the Army and feel bad for the Army prisoners things are different back then though couldn't tell from the guns but this is pre Civil War
Definitely different, actually it takes place during and after the civil war. From IMBD "Ben Cartwright is the patriarch of an all-male Nevada ranching family. Set during and after the Civil War, "Bonanza" is the story of life on the family's thousand-acre spread, known as the Ponderosa, near Virginia City. Ben has his three sons, each with a different (and deceased) mother."
Thanks to ? Palmer who posted on another episode: "To anyone who's got questions about the theme song: The early episodes of Bonanza went to public domain awhile ago, but the theme song didn't. So they stuck in a generic Western-sounding theme instead. This isn't the only one; they use a couple others in other episodes as well."
