I appreciate everything your vets do in helping endangered species. Thank you for sharing such beautiful videos to the work being done in other countries, much love and respect

Yeah, the KWS (Kenya Wildlife Service) is doing great work. And those guys are not to be trifled with. They are really well-trained, and they know their way around the bush like you wouldn't believe. Also, they are not known for compassion towards people stealing one of their country's most important resources. If they catch you poaching, you'll regret it, even if you surrender without resistance. 🤕
Quite important, that! Would hate to know that gorgeous Aussie Hunk got digested by some of the animal families he helped preserve and keep healthy. How come ale the Bondi Vets know so much? Surgery, anatomy setting bones and more. By the way, is Chris married? Scott has a lovely wife and two beautiful children. Plu dogs of course. Both make a show of much love for all their patients. The animals after having been through the procedures seem to like them a lot, too.. how wonderful to give your working life to neglected or suffering beings, our siblings on RBI’s beautiful bu often horribly cruel globe. Let’s all be more mindful of them and return a bit of the love they lavishly give us.
I absolutely love how Chris takes part in different cultures, even if it may be out of his comfort zone. I bet the people really appreciate it. It makes me have a whole other kind of respect for him.
You're just displaying your ignorance darling, camel milk is highly prized as a delicacy across large parts of the world.. you can check out the prices online, it's shipped commercially internationally.. I've drunk it myself, it tastes similar to cow's milk, just richer. Saying you think it would make you vomit just shows your lack of education, like saying eating a yoghurt would make you throw up. Unless you're either vegan or lactose intolerant, that is.
@@Akai-Shade Actually, it's not just "dye" it's an anti-parasite type of drug that is highly toxic to humans if consumed or even handled briefly. It doesn't show up on the outside of the horn, so poachers can't tell just by looking if a horn has been treated. The drug can cause nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, nervous system problems that could become permanent and even cancer, with repeated exposure. All things that poachers, imho, richly deserve.
I read an article some times ago that elephants start to be born without tusks, they are evolving due to poaching. Might as well happen some day to rhino.
Most likely means something something completely different than it does here. I'm Mexican and some words in Spanish can mean something really hilarious to someone from another Hispanic country.
Brooke, you’re a hero, along with the men/women who guard the wild life from poachers, and the bead women who are willing to earn money by selling a thing instead of a living being, thus contributing to land being saved by reducing the number of livestock having to use it.
Such an important video of education and learning how endangered these animals and areas they live are. Also a fun video of Chris improvising surgery technique and “being a poacher” and tracking them!
I'm moved to tears and overwhelmed with awe and gratitude for ALL these different human beings, who come together in Kenya to save poor animals, threatened by the greediness, cruelty and idiocy of entitled and inhuman monsters called hunters..... KUDOS and THANKS to ALL of YOU, wonderful and caring HUMANS!
The people buying these black market items are the Chinese. But it's hard to motivate them to enforce the conservation measures. So long as the Chinese are willing to buy them, people will continue to poach. Trying to stop the poaching is never going to work. We need to stop the buying.
I read an article somewhere that along with these conservation and anti poacher efforts being made, scientists are also creating artificial horns that have the same genetic makeup as the real horns, as well as essentially being exact replicas to hopefully oversaturate the market and drop the price of them
@@ihangoutwithdeadguys i hope that does become a thing, bc the lower the price is, the less incentive poachers have to take to that task. what draws them in is the insane money. unfortunately, oversaturation of the market in one specific area isn't enough. other animals are also poached, they just don't receive the same focus bc they aren't as endangered as other species. so rhinos, and maybe also elephants, could be saved this way. but eventually, we'd start seeing the effects of poachers averting their attention toward other profitable species.
I love these out-of-country trips that Chris takes. It sheds light to the people and places all around the world that aren't as lucky as others in terms of proper vet care.
See Chris working with Buszi the goat & her owners makes me feel so happy. I love how he takes the time to explain what he’s doing & I love how gently her owner handles her. I have so much respect for everyone in this video, honestly 🥺🥰
I used to live in Uganda, just a few hours from the Kenyan border. MAN did the scrappiness and just... raw nature of improvising and "figuring things out" with the goat treatment bring back memories.
That baby rhino was so cute!! I love all the work people are doing to save these endangered animals. I'm not sure I'd be brave enough to be out there doing that though. Did anyone get the impression that the local people were laughing at the funny white man? With him trying out the beading and drinking camel milk.
i’m from chicago and hearing chris saying that gunshots don’t exactly go off regularly where he’s from broke my heart. he was so scared when children in america have to suffer with the fact that blokes can run around with guns with no penalty’s
It's too bad. That's not the experience of most kids in America. Some neighborhoods of some big cities. I grew up in a town of 30,000 and never heard a gunshot except shooting practice in the country and deer hunting. I live in Wisconsin and only been to Chicago once. I now live in a town with 50,000 and the drugs are starting to come up from Chicago. That's when you get the bad neighborhoods. I hope they don't spoil our nice town.
@@StarWinchester "People can just get guns to use them safely or for HUNTING, an activity humans have been doing for hundreds of years!" I know, the audacity of some people eh?
Star Winchester in my community we have a serious deer problem. Because we have a bunch of ignorant people who moved to my community. Who don’t seem to understand the issues of letting deer populations go out of control. It’s GOOD to cull the heard to prevent starvation due to over population, diseases that spread among populations of deer. If you don’t understand certain things it’s best no to have such a strong opinion. Also because my community is tourist town we have people feeding the deer pizza, feeding the deer anything they have, stoping in the middle of the road to take pictures. Which in turns makes the deer dependent on humans and causes them to start venturing into neighborhoods and they’ll destroy people’s gardens. Deer proof Fences are super spendy. It makes me mad that my garden keeps getting ruined because some idiot thinks it’s cute or funny to feed wild deer pizza. And all my time and energy has passed been wasted. It also makes it a higher risk of deer causing car accidents. Because they are searching out humans they venture into the roadways. I honestly feel they should euthanize deer that become too dependent on humans and actually punish people for feeding them. Then we can cook up the deer meat and feed homeless.
Chris (Beading with the help from the amazing African bead women) "It's like the scene from Ghost... only somethings a bit different." Bahahahaahahahaha. Chris, you funny and hot biscuit you!
Two great dedicated passionate Australian's protecting endangered WILDLIFE! Thank u Brooke and Dr.Chris! Thank u Zoos Victoria AUSTRALIA! ALL WILDLIFE SHOULD B PROTECTED AND RESPECTED AND HELPED WHEN NECESSARY! 💕💜💙
MacGyver Chris is the perfect person to send out there for surgeries and such. He's always thinking outside the box, which means he doesn't just have vet knowledge, he also understand how and why other things like malaria meds work. It's impressive. That was a beautiful video!
It's hard watching Chris work on Pusi but it's also extremely necessary. You know it has to bother him inflicting pain but he knows that it's a little discomfort now or death later. I hope the goat made a full recovery after everything it went through.
Kenya has many amazing programs for helping both wildlife and the people, it is truly inspiring. Farmers are making extra money breeding butterflies for living displays in Europe and North America. There are former poachers who have become guides for tourism, and scholarship programs that allow children to get a full education. The more those who live there learn to value their wildlife for its own sake, and it’s value through working with it and conserving it the greater the chances are for the future. It is wonderful to see Chris in his element, applying his love and skills for all animals wherever he goes.🖤🇨🇦
Hello from USA. I really like this show. I just recently just started watching it. I just wished i can watch every episode...How come i can't see season 6 on here? 🥺
This is the definition of the word amazing. My heart is so full ❤️ such a beautiful place with such genuinely passionate and amazing people. Thank you for sharing this with us.
Thank you Dr. Chris for showing the true state of our world. I'm praying for all these wonderful animals and hope they have safety security and Love. 💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚
What an awesome trip to Kenya. Dr. Chris is truly an amazing doctor and person to go there to want to check out the wildlife and the conservation of to protect endangered animals. I can't believe that people pay a quarter of a million dollars on the black market for these horns. How horrible to kill these beautiful animals for their horns. Poachers should be shot right where they stand kill them dead. Save all animals no matter what they have to do. Poaching is against the law. Dr. Chris is truly a fun loving guy to get out there and play ball with the local people. You can just tell that he was having a great time. Great episode 🦁❤🐯❤🐮❤🐘❤🐂❤🦏❤🐐❤🐪❤
I absolutely loved this video. It's so good to see Chris interact with not only wildlife, but with the beautiful people of Kenya. To honor their traditions and culture is so good. The guards protecting the animals are so brave!
Absolutely wonderful episode, I love when Chris travels to other places to help the animals and communities- God bless him and all those who are trying to make a difference and blessings from NYC!! 😄💗🌷
It's really cool of you to use your platfom to show us this kind of thing. I really appreciate that you not only show us the fun side but the reality of things even when it's something that would be easier ignored. I've been binge watching this for like the past week and I love this series :D Have a wonderful day!
I remember a time back, they experimented with a few rhinos in sedating them and sawing off their horns so they wouldn't be as attractive to poachers. Can't poach what isn't there yeah? But in the end it made it so females couldn't defend their babys, and males couldn't get mates... So much depends on that horn for them to survive but it makes them a target for a market in high demand for such a product, with no regard to the dwindling numbers. How many more species need to go extinct by human hands before it sinks in that there isn't an unlimited number of them out in the wild? Once there gone, there gone.
I've heard of people painting the rhino's horns to prevent poaching.....they get to keep the horn that IS so vital to their survival, but the horn is made worthless because the monsters (poachers) don't want damaged goods.
I'm back to watch this video again, something I rarely do. It's so encouraging & upbeat. Chris has a way of jumping into whatever he encounters with both feet. The producers found interesting stories. Yes, it's one of my favorite episodes. I have to share it again.
While it was dangerous for Chris and the camera crew, I thank the anti-poachers for letting them come along. It gives us true, shuddering realization that these issues are real. Also- the goats name was hilarious 😂
Wonderful. I had tears at the end. I especially liked the way Chris interacted with the people--very respectful and they felt the same. The soccer game was great..
Wow what an amazing, beautiful experience! The work Chris does and all the other vets from Bondi Vet is so inspiring. I hope to travel to Bondi one day and maybe pop in to say hello and give my appreciation!
Lmao I'm sorry but that goats name had me dying 😂😂😂 The way he keeps a straight face when he says "If pussi was at the clinic, I could save it. Poor pussi won't last long out here"
