In the winter break of 2020 and just before the coronavirus pandemic, we traveled from New York City to Nassau in the Bahamas aboard the Norwegian Bliss. In this video I'll go over some of the fun things to do aboard the ship, including one of my favorites activities, eating, but most importantly fishing opportunities along the itinerary.
Starting with Cape Canaveral, Great Stirrup Cay and the Island of Nassau where I booked a bonefish charter with my friend Simon Bain.
If you want to skip all but bonefish fishing go right to: Fishing Nassau (8:22)
I'll go over what I recommend bringing with you to have a good day on the water, and while your guide will have everything you need, remember, there are no Fly Fishing shops in Nassau so if you need something make sure you bring it!.
If you live in the New York area, this cruise could be a great way to enjoy a family trip and a little fishing without having to travel by plane.
Keep in mind, as with most cruises you only have a a few hours on port so planning ahead is a must and weather dependent.
Enjoy the video and tight lines!
