Bonelab was one of the most hyped VR games of all time but the lack of modding support had left the community deflated. well now we finally get to see what the team have been working on and that's more regular updates about the bonelab sdk from Brandon and the team. I feel like I had the successful marketing similar to hell divers 2, but people expected too much of it. It was exactly what it was made to be, a quest spinoff of boneworks, nothing more, nothing less.

the pico 4S wouldnt be a "lite" version, it would actually be a refreshed version, with better specs, coming with the XR2 Gen 2 to compete with the quest 3 and possibly (POSSIBLY) eye and face tracking (as already seen on the pico 4 pro)

Also excited for EmuVR to become possible to run standalone on a headset, if possible with environments as high fidelity as the forest demo.

The PICO ringless controllers were not leaked. They were demo'd by PICO themselves months ago and they stated they will work with the existing PICO 4 and also the upcoming headset, whatever that headset will be. One thing is for sure, it is very unlikely the 4S will be a lite version, why? The PICO 5 got canceled because Bytedance wasnt impressed by it, so the theory is that the 4S is simply the PICO 5 but rebranded to manage expectations.

I'm actually kind of excited it it does get update but I'm kinda sad that you can't really mod it easily on stand alone quest anymore cuz the new update that the quest three is gonna have in the future but yeah.

I bought bonelab on the hype but didnt give the physics a chance and gave up pretty quick. Maybe ill put some more time in and give a proper run after the updates.

Pico probably saw the AVPs hype die rapidly and the hype train pivoted back to the quest 3. People want a great headset under 1000 bucks.

It took me 3 hours to figure out how to disable the god damn volumetric fog with heavy modding. Way better. Hopefully they have a setting option to disable it in the game because its ugly af.

VR doesn't have any immersive improvements from 2018. no affordable locomotion solution, no haptic gloves, no haptic suit(rumble vest like tactsuit do not count). I would only be excited for a new bonelab game if more immersion exist

@@TotallyAverageCommenter It is getting better and had to get in now with the Q3 so as to have a good learning platform within my budget. With that purchase (and all accessories out of the way) next plan is a top level gaming desktop rig so that I can explore PCVR better than I can now.
