"My whole world turned upside down. I can adjust" I just love she said this and I love how she truthfully laid herself before him and accepted that there could't be a relationship between them.....yet.
You literally see the realisation hit Brennan when Booth says he’s in love with Hannah, that not only she missed her chance with him, but also that she’s capable of loving him and she’s loved him all this time, but her fear of being abandoned and alone as a child held her back when she turned him down. I burst out crying when I saw her cry, my heart broke for her so much 🥺🥺🥺🤧🤧🤧🤧
It always fascinated me how we the viewers knew she was in love with him long before she realized it herself. Then this scene was heartbreaking because she finally realized it but he had moved on by then. Of course we all know what came after that....... :)
Isn't that a freaking problem - when he proposed, she disposed - when she let alone out of her misery proposed he had to dispose because he can't put someone else at pedestal; This still breaks both of their hearts. I know in the end everything turned out well, they married, had kids, etc. but why does all of this has to be so complex and painfull and heartbreaking? Why does love have to be complex?
This was the darkest episode in the whole series run and my absolute favorite episode. Finally getting such a deep insight Brennan's mental state was truly unsettling. The whole episode centered around on how Brennan truly feels about herself. The way she freaked out about the case was as if she was investigating her own death. The only difference Brennan had with the victim was that Brennan has people in her life who love her and would do anything in the world for her. But she shared the exact mind set with the victim. Brennan was so anguished over the fact that she's so cut off from humanity that she subconsciously wished death on herself. But Brennan needed to go through this dark phase so she could understand that she needs Booth and she should give him a chance.
This was one of the most important scenes in the show. Even though I’ve watched this episode many years ago, I still remember it word by word. Great writing and great acting 👏🏻
"I'm with someone, Bones. Hannah, she's not a consolation prize. I love her." When Brennan starts sobbing, I cried too. She's always so rational and analytical, that any display of full-on emotion is really rare for her. I didn't like Hannah, in spite of all the 'good' qualities she had. I know that the writers tried hard to make viewers like her, but she was just a plot device to make Brennan realise her true feelings for Booth.
@@kaylynboyd2035 She was, and it was so unrealistic. Like, she had this tough job as a journalist but she looked like she could have been a Victoria's Secret model. She supposedly wasn't sure if she liked kids (or something like that) but immediately hit it off with Booth's son. There was a strange lack of tension or jealousy between Hannah and Brennan; even though it would have been completely understandable if Hannah had been a little resentful or hostile towards her considering all the history Brennan and Booth have, and the fact that they work together. Hannah was too perfect and it was a bit weird that the writers never turned her into Brennan's rival - because it would have been really easy for them to do that.
@@Damsel_in_This_Dress ikr. I guess a lot of that came from how logical Brennan is but still it just wasn’t realistic that the two women in booths life who both love him were just great friends
I think it was natural for us not to like Hannah, especially since she was in the way of Booth and Brennan, who were meant to end up together eventually. I think they could have had her around longer, built on her character more, but inevitably she and Booth would have ended. Sometimes I think the writers made it too easy for them to get rid of her, because there wasn't a lot sustenance to Booth and Hannah's relationship imo. If she had stuck around longer, then maybe there could have been more, but we all knew that she was just a tool to push Booth and Brennan closer together.
Feel bad for bones, but also bad for booth. Cuz he was in the same position a year ago when he finally confessed his feelings for her. And it tore him up inside, being rejected like that. And now he's the one putting that same pain onto her. And it sucks for him cuz he does still care about her.
This ep was good for Bones, she needed to learn not everything happens on her terms and booth wasn't her plaything to pick up when she felt like it again or the universe spoke to her whatever. By this scene I was totally fed up with her because after how many times does the "universe" all of a sudden when Booths getting serious and "finaly start to move on" speak to her. Cause he was clearly also trying to move on but not really.
The whole episode was fucking scary. And then at the end it got incredibly beautiful. I associate myself with Brennan. Shit. I'm so afraid of missing my chance because I'm not going to realize that I want and love the right person. Because very often I don't understand my feelings, I don't know what love is at all. It's a cool show.
1:43 I just finished watching this episode and when I saw this scene I got a big lump in my throat and I wanted to cry, why did I feel bad for Brennan, when she started crying, I wanted to cry too but totally resisted, and at the same time I kept thinking, Brennan was probably scared she'd end up heartbroken or hurt.I'm not good at explaining feelings, I see the other comments and they have that bit of logic that makes it look smart. That's not the point anyway. The bad thing is that she realized it late, but the good thing is that they will end up together. And that makes me more than happy 💕😭
@Yemima Hutapea aw, what a nice comment from you 🥰 and by the way yes, I was watching bones, and I don't know why I stopped at one point and stopped watching it. I think it's probably because I don't take care of school things and that distracts me, I told myself: "when you finish your homework, watch the series", And it's kind of weird, because I can watch other series without a problem but it seems that this one, along with a couple more, are restricted until I finish my work 🤣😅
@Yemima Hutapea And yes, by the way, I am also happy to know that at least there is someone (you) who remembers the series... by the way... How did you get here? ☺️😅
I get it’s a heartbreaking scene but Brennan made her choice and Booth said he needed to move on...which he did! May not have been the right choice by Brennan but she can’t put Booth in that position 😕
I have to say I believe Booth loved Hannah but I didn't believe he ever stopped loving Brennan. Booth believed he was no longer in love with Brennan because he kept telling himself that, plus he made excuses to Sweets on why he didn't tell Hannah, Brennan loves him. The brain is the most mysterious part of the human body, that's just my opinion.
1:26 that look it's just so sad, she's just hoping Booth will accept her feeling and even though Hanna was just a plot to help Brennan realize her feelings, I wish it had lasted longer, for more real drama.
When Bones rejected him when he confessed his feelings for her, It looked like she did not rejected him just that time, Her way of rejecting seem like she is saying them being together was never going to happen. Booth always wanted to have a life partner, get married. So he decided to move on, and found Hannah. However he loved Bones, he chose the chance to be happy with Hannah for himself. That was right.
I think he was still in love with bones while he was with hanna. Either that or while they were gone for that year he found someone to occupy his time and confused that with love. Thats why it was easy for them to get together in the end.
ur kidding right? she rejected him, he told her he had to move on, it was her fault not booths, boooth then had to make decision to move on and he fell for hannah
I'm sorry but Hannah was a consolation prize! 🤣 My god she wasn't right for him! And I really think he wanted to stop thinking about Bones when he was away! My opinion! 🤷🏼♀️
Yes, you can see it in his face. Her breakdown is clearly tearing him up inside but he is a man of commitment and at that time he was committed to Hannah
i would say yes. fan theories would suggest that immediately after this encounter he rushed to propose to hannah whom he fully known wasn’t the marrying type and that his relationship with her was plainly sexual hence the many bed scenes they had instead of the little romantic moments we see between booth and brennan. i would concur that booth’s plan was to run back to Brennan before the window closes. Sure, Booth’s heart got broken after the break-up with Hannah after all he is a decent guy but he knew he set his eyes on Brennan. His endgame ❤️❤️❤️
@@hayaalmasri1247 I'm sorry to hear that - I went through somethin similar a few years ago and took me about 4 years to recover. I hope you feel better now.
BorcaAfter saving Bones in front of the machine, who was about to hit her, Booth tells him that he has walked everywhere to look for her. Bones tells him he came to look for the truth about the doctor's death, looking for organs for the implant. Bones tells him that the helicopter pilot was very in love with her, but she always dismissed him. Now at death, the doctor regrets that he lost that chance and dies with pain in his soul. Bones tells Booth that she does not want to lose her last chance to be with him. Booth tells her he's sorry, but now she's with Hanah she loves and wants to marry her. Bones starts crying, and asks Booth: "What am I going to do now? To which Booth answers: The fight, as I have fought so far.Bones replies: I will fight.
Right except for the last part. She doesnt ask him anything she says she missed her chance and her worlds been turned upside down but she will adapt and he says he did which is true, he had to when she rejected him.
