Welcome to 'The Full Frame' this week Mark and Ben walk around Chiswick taking photos on experimental Bones film, kindly sent to us by Alvi A (follow him on Instagram here: www.instagram....
Ben is shooting Bones Black and White film, which is meant to be used as X Ray film. There have been varying degrees of success using this film, and Alvi told us we could use it up to 5500 ISO. But we stuck to 800.
Mark is shooting Bones Colour film, which is shooting straight onto photo paper. And the results are... interesting.

Back in the late 70s I was given a bulk roll of 35mm x-ray film by a friend who worked in a hospital. I loaded it into 35mm cassettes and spent much time experimenting. I could never find the right developer and in those days there were not resources like the internet to get information about obscure things like that. In the end I gave up!

Ah such a shame. Even today with the colour I had to find 2 developers. It was fun to shoot! Thanks for watching. 👍🏻

I've done a little research on the film before and the "light leaks" on the black and white was light piping from how you loaded it. The reason the leader is a different color is to protect the film, but its supposed to be loaded in a dark environment to prevent this.

Ah! It was certainly dim where Ben loaded it but not completely dark.
