Matt Tuck : Plays intricate Rhythm Guitar, Clean Singing, Screams, Solos(Occasionally), Principal Songwriter, Another Guy deserves respect P.S: I'm not criticizing Aaron he's one hell of a muscian n a very responsible person.
@@user-sr5ts2jz7e doing it safely or not, back them him taking over all cleans and uncleans and touring non-stop is still stressful on your vocal chords
Aaron is the real deal when it comes to being a musician. He's able to maintain a what I think is a perfect vocal range for both (dirty / clean) vocals. He's definitely their secret weapon and it shows.
I agree, I'd have never thought that from his fragile cleans he could scream like that. I enjoyed their single they released, but I hope that they can keep the bones exposed music sound.
I honestly can’t see why half of you idiots are complaining about Aaron. The dude is doing cleans, screams, and plays base with no problems. I think they should find a new bassist so he can focus on the vocals. Still they are clearly an amazing band with or without Austin.
Vice check em out in old jamies elsewhere he did screams and cleans in that band also...but yeah i understand how you feel i hope he takes care of his voice properly
Vice he's been doing the same thing for years. don't worry, even Shane Told from Silverstein does it for more than a decade and still one of the best live performers on scene.
If he did it wrong it would fuck up his voice, but he doesn't. Screaming takes a lot of concentration but has no consequences if you're doing it correctly. Plus he's not really "growling" these are all mid screams
Not going to hurt if you do it right. Sam carter is doing great but lately he's suffering from too much touring. He never let his voice heal. Aaron in the other hand knows the right technique to cover up the screaming
Dude can scream, play bass and sing clean. I can't even wipe my ass and tell a knock knock joke at the same time. I was hesitant as I'm a huge Austin fan. But this man is insane and a great continuance (didn't want to say replacement ) Bass drums are either mixed weird or mixed odd. Or it's just the tuning idk.
It's like loving a lion that cannot be tamed I snap at the thought or the sound of your name Pulling teeth from my stomach you've been eaten alive My blood fills your lungs, my soul your inside My feet they stand on ashes From the fires that you've made Burning bridges Just to save your face If I say I wouldn't be hostile Could you say you would do the same If we're all made just a little bit broken Tell me who is to blame Tell me who is to blame I'm sensing a feeling picking wounds of regret That left alone there's no scarring ill dig and ill dig Scratching and itching I'll keep biting my lip From this pain that I'm feeling Picking wounds of regret A cut cannot heal Unless you leave it alone I'll open mine daily Leaving bones exposed Exposed! If I say I wouldn't be hostile Could you say you would do the same If we're all made just a little bit broken Tell me who is to blame Tell me who is to blame To blame! Standing on ashes from the fires you've made Burning your bridges just to save your face Wounds of regret If I say I wouldn't be hostile Could you say you would do the same If we're all made just a little bit broken Tell me who is to blame Tell me who is to blame To blame! We're broken, imperfect We were all made the same We're broken, we're broken, imperfect We are all to, blame!
Jesus guys, don't be so hard on him. I'm a die hard Of Mice and Men fan and was disappointed when Austin left, but this man. He's playing bass, he's screaming and hes singing and this performance is outstanding. So what if he sounds "generic" I think he's doing a great job and damn I'm impressed.
Alan's guitar looks so cool even in its simplicity. I'd love to get it, but unfortunately it has an active pickup, so I'd prolly want to install a Fishman rechargeable battery pack.
I remember seeing these guys in seattle very shortly after Aaron joined and seeing how shy and not metal looking he was was surprising considering how good his vocals are. Now look at him. Good for him. He made the band better than it ever was when I was listening to these guys. Crazy to see how much weight Tino lost. I didn't recognize him at first.
He can't really tone scream like Austin, its more one straight forward but his screaming in general imo is better than Austin's I was worried he wouldn't be able to play the older songs like him but he more than passes expectations
I didn't realize aaron was solely fronting the band after austin left until seeing this. As someone who screams and sings that is just throuroughly impressive what he's doing
I loved Austin, but holy fuck Aarons screams suit this song and modern OM&M so much better. Austin's voice has this unique characteristic to it, I can't really explain what it is, but it sounds like it's meant for their older style. Restoring Force is one of my favorite albums and yet I found Austins vocals a little, misplaced. However their "return to roots" in Cold World had Austin's voice settle right back in for me. Aaron's screams are so defined, so pinpoint and stable. It just suits OM&M's more tight modern sound perfectly. And it retroactively suits Restoring Force so well.
