Ahhh San Diego Love at first sight is real Elisa 🤗 the docks across from the train station remain fresh in my memory. Thanks Boney James and crew for sparking awesome memories.
Absolutely can not wait to attend Smooth Jazz shows again!!! Boney is at the top of my list, then Euge Groove, Norman Brown, Dave Koz,, etc. I can go on & on & on. NJ in the house.
What I love about Boney's music is that he gives you a nice background groove with a light melody over the top, than when it gets time to blow some licks he'll hit you with some smooth runs. A lot of other smooth jazz musicians try to play every minute of a song with licks and runs not giving the listener a chance to enjoy the music (my opinion don't kill but I love him, a great talent and love his music especially "Just Between Us" but Norman Brown plays over everything all throughout a song)....Boney like a few others know how to put together nice smooth jazz songs. When you think about the better smooth jazz songs have simple melodies with the player tearing his instrument up when it's time to lay it down...ie Ron Law's "Always There" Grover's "Mister Magic" George Howard's "Oh No".
LUV THIS ONE OF MY FAVORITE BONEY JAMES THANK U SO MUCH FOR UPLOADING THESE AWESOME VIDEOS SMOOTH JAZZ FOREVER I JUST SUBSCRIBE TO YOUR CHANNEL & LOVING IT KEEP IT COMING☺💯🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥❤👍🎷🎷🎷🎷
