I know you are just joking, but in case anyone doesn't change bong water frequently, you can get very sick. Tons of Bacteria and Micro-organisms thrive in it, and you are sucking them straight into your lungs. That is one of the easiest / fastest ways to get respitory infections and more. Says online to change it every time you smoke, if not every other time. Cool fresh water makes it way smoother and you get the actual taste of the nugs and not nasty resin-water.
Stephen Tranovich I don't seem to have your problem, maybe it is because of the art of skillz. I play on and off stage and can have an ax ready in less than 2 minutes, even at a drop A tuning. Maybe some good lessons or even an electric ax tuner would help you if you knew the drop note tunings....LOLZ!
I love the slower heavy stuff like this, this is my favorite type of metal, when you slow it down it becomes very meditative and the guitar has more time to express itself, plus the Crunchy fuzzy distortion has more time to sound and vibrate the slower you play, I play guitar like this so I know exactly why we like it this way ;) Much love to all of the BoNGRippEr fanS out There ;)
Couldn’t agree more always loved slower groovier metal over more fast paced stuff like thrash although I love some of the fast stuff I prefer slow and heavy.
The epitome of sludge. This album is like trekking through a swamp of black tar with thousand pound weights tied to each foot.Hail Bongripper!Hail Doom!
We all live life and the only goal is to run as fast from the Reaper as possible... only for Him to catch us eventually. Every positive thing in life is only a distraction from this simple fact. We will all grow old, weak, paralyzed, in pain as the darkness slowly surrounds us and undoes everything we have ever learned. Endless Descent Into Ruin... fits the theme of life perfectly. Hail Bongripper!
You have to see these guys live to truly appreciate their sound. I promise you that you have never experienced heavy until you have. Being able to see them on a fucking freezing and snowy night in Chicago made it that much better.
this is perfect Winter or blazing hot Summer music. Reflects the Misery of deep Winter well. Nothing to look forward to but more painful frozen air and endless snow till it's over while life is put to an almost complete hold for the most part.
The loudest show I ever been to was Black Label Society no joke but it was in a small venue. It was loud and gut shaking you started to feel sick. I wanna see these guys though if they ever come around
This song makes me want to blast this album as loud as my car speakers will let me and drive it as slow as possible off of a cliff but with enough momentum that when I do finally reach the earth me and my car vaporize in the most thunderous explosion imaginable!
Oh man. That is one of the best/funniest/appropriate comments I've ever read. As for me, I'd like to break a sledgehammer right now with another, larger sledgehammer, and then be like, what? y'aa ain't got no bigger hammers?
My favourite album for sleep is either AKHLYS - I Dreaming, or ALRAKIS - Echos from eta Carinae. Not doom/sludge/stoner, but soothing and hypnotizing nonetheless. Maybe you find liking in it.
There's some music I listen to where I reckon it could have more mainstream acceptance if people gave it an honest try. Then there's music I listen to where I just don't think that's possible. Bongripper falls squarely into the latter category - and I fucking love them for it. BTW, who first heard any of these tracks while stoned? Because Into Ruin was my first exposure to them while I was smoking a bowl.
this is one of the first albums ive listened to from start to finish and not felt agitated or got bored, or sick of it. this is great. fucking love it.
this is one of my favourite albums period. the sound is just pure perfection. i wished that there was more groove but that`s the old hippy speaking. in the end Bongripper is one of the very few bands, who got it right...stoner doom at its best!!!
Bong ripper literally burst my ear drum at the star and garter in manchetser on the tour for this album. So fucking heavy. One of the best sets I can remember
This album helps me lucid dream , I start by meditating and next thing you know I'm in and out of sleep then eventually in a in between state dreaming awake lol its awesome :)
I'm loving all of these different styles of earth imploding ugly slow doom being recorded. Man, it just keeps getting more interesting and more fucked up. Keep it going!!!
Onerice IMO this is the best doom metal band I have heard, better than Sleep imo. It's because they focus so much on the soundscape and the mega dark atmosphere, it's fucking awesome.
Keegan Shulista Different genres, really, if you ask me... :) What Sleep have done for the heavy doomy music can never be overestimated tbh. But yeah, Satan Worshipping Doom is probably among the 5 best doom albums of recent years. :)
Damn, what an awesome build-up to a great climax at the end!! That was a musical surprise! I only recently (and for the first time) listened to Sleep's 'Dopesmoker' in its entirety a few weeks ago (uninterrupted, in one sitting), and I have to say that 'Miserable' is a very worthy addition to the 'doom' canon!! \m/ \m/
theBorritotrooper Right on Bro I do enjoy this very very much, and I love the name Acid Goat just by the name of it I know it's probably going to be really heavy like this hehe thank you I am going to check them out ;)
I'm no usual fan of this kinda stuff I much prefer sludge like Iron Monkey, Eyehategod, Moloch etc but this album I swear played on a decent stack of Orange amps & a wall of big subwoofers could cause someone permanent physical damage. I've heard Sunn O))) live & I get the feeling these lot live would have the same feeling upon the body, it is like your lungs cannot draw oxygen in & they are compressed against your ribcage, without question the best find on RU-vid in quite some time. Dopethrone wish they could make this kinda sound.
