Hi guys, your visit here in germany is very interesting. The stairs you guys were at 3:22 in your video is a historical place. US President John F. Kennedy was there in June 1963, and The President of the Sovjet Union, Michail Gorbatschow was there in June 1989. Right at the place you made your video. Thanks guys and have nice and safe journey.

Was the wrong Haribo Shop in Bonn. In Bonn- Bad Godesberg (other side of the City) is the factory outlet store 4x bigger and they sell also B-Stuff (Wrong printings on Package etc but same Quality) . 4Kg of random Haribo (surprise package) for less then 10€ ;-)

Lovely video. We missed visiting the Haribo store when we were there but we did get to visit the Beethoven Museum... even took a private tour with a mini concert. (Unfortunately, we had a bit of a family disagreement later which did not leave us with fond memories of Bonn. Lesson learned. Never let the troops get too hungry because they really can get quite unpleasant.) So sad to see the end of the German videos but look forward to whatever you have in store for us next. Don't want to sound too cranky but maybe a little quieter on the music next time as I had to keep turning the volume up and down to match Josh's volume when he was talking.

Gummi rule and Haribo are the best. Been eating them for over 50 years (got addicted to them when we lived in Germany and would cost us one Mark for a paper cone full, they were a lot smaller and harder than the squishy ones you buy today).

Frankfurt was the favourite to become Germany's capital after WWII. However the chairman of the Parliamentary Council and later the first Chancellor of the Federal Rublic of Germany managed to influence the council members to vote for Bonn. Why? He lived in Rhöndorf (6 miles from Bonn) and could commute to get to work (using a ferry crossing the Rhine river).

There were also some practical considerations like the availability of buildings. Picking a small city was also a deliberate act to underscore its temporary status. It wasn't really supposed to be a capital at first, but only the seat of government

Bonn was the capital of Western Germany and the capital of the Electorate of Cologne until 1794 when the region was conquered by France.

If you like Haribo and black licorice try Haribo Colorado mix. If you like the Haribo you mentioned with the bird on it, be sure and try Frazar Tutti Fruitti Passion, when you get to Scandinavia! My favorite non-haribo gummy. Soft, tropical, yum.

Haribo is currently building its first factory in the US. So maybe you'll get a wider selection than just the classical bears in the future. However they'll almost certainly use corn syrup and more artificial ingredients I long thought the whites ones are lemon, but white is pineapple and the yellow ones are lemon :o I don't usually like pineapple, but the white bears are among my favorites

It was so great to see the vegan "V" on some of the packages inside the Haribo store. Gummy bears are so much better when they don't contain boiled hooves and spinal matter (gelatin).

Aww, I'm a little disappointed! You didn't show the Kurfürstenschloss (The Giant Yellow Building next to the Haribo store), which is also the mainbuilding of Bonn University (Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelm-Universität). I know there are construction works going on, but it still looks impressiv from the far side of the Hofgarten.

My grandmother loved Haribo gummies. I’m not a fan of gummies but the store looks fun. I’m sad that your not vlogging Paris. 😢 Ashley, did spending time in Paris and not vlogging help you to like the city more? I’m a huge Paris. I take my time in the city and don’t run from place to place. Do you guys remember how many Space Invaders you got at the end of your time there? Since you're a fan of black liquorice, you are probably enjoying Scandinavia just for that right now. Liqourice by Haribo is not very good - rather mild, soft, and sweet. Dutch and Scandinavian black, salty liquorice and Salmiak are much stronger and way better, if that's what you like. Haribo is much better on the sweet side of things. The elections to the European parliament were 3 weeks ago from now. So this gives us an idea of about how long it has been since you visited Germany. Should you ever come back to Bonn, make sure to visit the Southern districts with the former governmental districts, the "museum mile" strip with its very interesting and well designed Museum on the history of post-WWII Germany, and further south the Siebengebirge mountains. Safe travels!

Sorry but the music is deafening! Also somewhat disappointing, because from 1949 to 1990, Bonn was the capital of West Germany, and Germany's present constitution, the Basic Law, was declared in the city in 1949. and there was no mention of that.

@@thomaswolf2896 Ich finde es sehr schade dass so guter Wohnraum vergeudet wird... aber ohne separaten Zugang ist es eben auch nicht machbar. Betroffen davon ist hauptsächlich die Sternstrasse, also die Straße, die vom Sterntor zum alten Rathaus (Marktplatz) führt.

WHAAAAAAT ? .. you're leaving already ? :( seriously - tour the GERMAN north ! are you aware theres a town called North (Norden) in FRIES-land. you know you are on the right place when you look at the biggest bottle of booze in the world! ... and when you hit hamburg take the hallunder jet to HELL-GO-LAND , place of the biggest non nuclear explosion in the world and now home to the wolds best chocolaterie.
