As a lifelong Shakespeare nerd I love some of the little details they got right or added. Romeo bit his thumb at B&C which was a common insult like giving someone the finger. And they referred to "a plague on both your houses" which is correct..so many people misquote it as "a pox on both your houses". I love their attention to detail!🌿
The details with Bonnie & Clyde are also impressive. Bonnie was married to someone else. He was in prison when she was running around with Clyde. And Clyde stole only Fords.
"Firin' off BARs" he's talking about the Browning Automatic Rifle, the heavy weaponry they preferred. He's actually holding a replica of one as he raps.
I'm so happy that you're reacting to these, I love re watching them all over again. When you need a new rabbit hole after ERB, please reaction to Bad Lip Reading.
Trying to set personal bias aside (Grace Helbig - when she was on MyDamnChannel - was my introduction to the world of RU-vid), but I think that Juliet won this one. She carried Romeo, she brought it every single bar, and her last bit about killing herself was a thing of beauty.
I go with Bonnie and Clyde. I like his line in the beginning when he says "I'm known to fire off some BAR's". Double mean, rap bars, and BAR's(browning automatic rifles, machine guns, which his gang was notorious for using).
Actually it's a quadruple entendre.... 1) Bars as in Rap bars 2) BAR Browning Automatic Rifle 3) Romeo and Juliet were star crossed lovers. 4) Clyde was a proud Southerner amd loved himself a Confederate Battle flag
@@machscga6238 I think you're digging in a little deeper there. I haven't ever seen anything in history about him being a "proud confederate", just because he's from the south. I could be wrong. And yes, he does say that they'd see stars in the next line, I agree about that star crossed reading part.
Dude after all you did to keep the old music alive, inspire us with French music Latin music etc, the haters need to chill I also love your ERB reactions. Do what you do, it's good. And for some reason I want to ask you to react to clips of classical boxer do their thing, Ali, Frazier, Tyson etc.
I've been loving all these rap battles you've been reviewing. I think when they stick to just duos they work best but that last one with Ivan the Terrible was really good.

Double meaning. When Clyde says he is going to fire off some Bars, besides the rap meaning, it also stands for Browning Automatic Rifle (BAR) a weapon he preferred.
I like how bars is a double entendre. BAR was an automatic machine gun in 30-06. Quite notorious. They were also I think shot by it as well. And of course you have rap bars

Juliet took this battle by herself. Bonnie & Clyde's best round was their first one. But when Juliet came in, she destroyed Bonnie ("The leading role shot down by a failed actress"), and multiple hits on Clyde: "I will do upon thine dick what you have done upon your toe" - When Clyde was in jail, he cut off two toes to not have to work on the chain gang, which was especially tough at the prison he was in. But 6 days after he did it, he was actually paroled from jail. The injury he did to himself was lifelong - he walked with a limp, and couldn't wear a shoe on that foot when he drove his car.
Ode to B&CvR+J Dost thy villains, so willingly smit Clyde, empty chambers, done blew it His better half was totally killing it Only to fail, to fall before love’s mare Words sung, those unspoken the more to bear For verily, none greater wast th’ lady fair #julietizgangsta
Do us all a favor: KEEP doing your thing, sir, As for who won? Bonnie & Clyde put up a fight, but Juliet's bars were simply WAY too savage. Plus, pulling a gun is like kicking over a board game; Sore Loser City.
I love those songs 😍 those have to be like two songs that I play over and over again so much 😃 except for the Bonnie and Clyde is the one with ice cube and the Romeo and Juliet is dire straits. Lol that's how old I am old 😂 this is the first time I've ever heard these before!! I like that shirt that you have that's like tie dye with your cartoon face on it 🙂
