I really feel like the writers created Enzo so that he could be a substitute Damon. Once Ian and Nina broke up Damon and Elena were never the same, but Bonnie and Damon had amazing character growth and Kat and Ian had great chemistry, but the writers never went there because they were stuck on Delena. I feel like Enzo was their way of giving fans a version of Bamon though.

The reason why bonnie almost killed enzo in the end because she was trying to fight the urge to not kill him. I'll explain the best as I can but basically a girl named rayna was a vampire huntress who kills vampires, it's her instinct. So she wanted to be at peace since she's been killing vampires for year's. She gave up her mortal life to bonnie since bonnie was dying from growing sick from the pills she's been taking. But the downfall was that since rayna gave Bonnie her life, she also gave her the instinct of killing vampires too. Bonnie had the tendency of killing vampires, even her friends since their vampires too and Enzo. But somehow Damon ended up doing something that saved Bonnie from killing Enzo at that moment and she snapped out of it and wasn’t trying to kill him anymore. I don’t want to explain too much because it’s a whole lot more but that’s a brief explanation on why she was trying to pull back from killing him

The part where she stabs him in the chest, and you said he's taking forever to die; you have to keep in mind that he's an Augustine Vampire... Just like Damon, and that BOTH of them got tortured, abused, and experimented with on a DAILY basis. ( For Damon it was 5 years, but for Enzo it was over 70 yrs). So Enzo has a higher threshold for pain than most vampires, thereby making him harder to kill..... UNLESS, one was to actually rip his heart out like Stefan did. 😭

They were amazing, but I hated how underdeveloped Enzo was. He felt like a plot device to Bonnie's arc, so I don't love them as much as I love Steroline or Klamille. Nonetheless, they were great.

Bro I totally get what you were saying about the 3 chords being repeated, even though it was part of the story it got annoying quick 😂 Honestly the thing that people never think about with this couple is how much chemistry the actors have with each other, there's literally no scene that feels forced. Every scene with them feels so natural 🔥 btw I'm not gay but when Enzo looks at bonnie it makes me realise that he is a very handsome man 😂😂

Something that seems less like he’s just a fixer upper to me is the fact that he really seemed to always be looking for and to love. He was a complete mess. But a lot of things he did he did in a very bizarre way for his friends. 🤦🏻‍♀️ (And not like some of the other characters whose fans claim are well-intended when they do selfish things.) I give him leeway considering he’s barely been out of a torture chamber in spite of being idk maybe 100. And a vampire with the swings that go with that. It just seemed like he potentially had a lot to bring, which people (unrealistically) say about a lot of bad guys of course. But these were truly unusual circumstances lol. He always seemed so attached to people even when his “humanity” was “off.”
