Bonny the Highland Pony on Aug 23 Part 2~Lateral movements at the walk 

Bonny, my charming Highland Pony is growing in her education! She's been under saddle for 5 months now. I'm developing more subtle and complex aids and responses for the ability to address her head/neck, shoulders, and haunches separately. This helps with alignment, flexibility, strength, and lateral balance. I start at the walk allowing for mistakes, of course, because she is learning!
I use the traditional movements of shoulder in, renvers, travers, and half pass to build a comprehensive communication system that can easily result in various positions. Since I participate in so many activities, I want their education to be supportive of the most required skills. I also want their education to be healthy for their body and mind.
