On keeping players on rails / following a common goal - the most successful campaign I was ever a part of worked so well because all the players were an extended family in game. My table has had the problem of following character roles so seriously that characters have left the party for other pursuits when goals aren't aligned. Also, old players love when newbies take interest in D&D because good players can be hard to find. Don't worry about getting into it because of BG3, that's a good thing!
Another fun drinking DnDesque tabletop game is Barcadia. Frequently get together with my friends and play that one. Similar to the one Haley mentioned, it can only be bought online I believe.

Your donair sauce sounds like a version of döner sauce. Döner is made into youghurt. So if you're in europe, ask for döner in any kebab or turkish establishment.
There's a place here in Virginia called Hard time's Cafe that serves Chili on Pasta, and it's very good, however...... I absolutely never order the Cincinnati Chili. My mom is Texan, and that Cincinnati Chili is blasphemous. If you enjoy it, hey, go wild, but I ain't touching it. Also, I imagine Chili Dogs are popular because Hot Dogs were popular. Are ya gonna eat a bowl of chili at the ball park? Maybe. Are ya gonna eat a Hot Dog with a glob of Chili on it? Absolutely! And Hot Dogs have only started to fall out of favor since 2000 or so, and even now they're very popular. I won't defend Chili Dogs per se, but they've established themselves and stuck around, and, as referenced, Sonic the Hedgehog loves them, so... The two crucial methods for Chili are these: Chili on top of GOOD Corn Bread (None of that ultra-sweet, basically cake nonsense) and then Chili on top of Fritos (or your local store brand equivalent) and then ideally smothered in a queso or other molten cheese situation. The traditional of this delicacy is to get a fun size bag of Fritos, tear it open, ladel the Chili into the package with the chips, then apply the cheese. You're welcome.
