Awesome song - one of my BOO faves. Question: How is the Bass-Station (assuming it’s doing the bass) synced to the drums loops / backing loops out of the Akai mpx8 ?
Good question!! It has a three note sequence which loops for the triplet-time thing "note, rest, note" and that's going thru the zoom ms70 with a ping-pong delay, and I just set everything to the tight tempo (113 BPM - I know it off by heart because it's always in the set these days!) and simply play the bass root notes by hand. If it goes out I just jab at the keyboard until it's back in... Hope that helps. We do have a "how we play live" video on our RU-vid channel, check it out, it's got more detailed info of our approach, however, we need to do an update as things have changed very recently.
