Hey Blah now you know how all of the swiss summer feels like, always humid like f*ck! Had that 2 weeks ago with 30 degrees, whew! I hate gravel as well. Always fun watching you two together, keep em commin' and ride safe.

Also maggs.. gna have to have a word with her.. SHE cant pester you to go FASTER! as you say time and place and you need to concentrate! .. she is funny thou :D and we know the gravel on new road! well dodgey.. did a 10 mile stretch at 20 mph ages ago painfully slow! Hey Mr F. Right up until that bit with the Gravel. A whole mile of that stuff was enough to make us turn around and head elsewhere. Nasty on a bike mate, very much so ;-)

by the way, what bit of road was it you had wanted to go on? I work in Tonbridge, so might try it after work one day.

It was a good day mate. Such a laugh and THAT is all that matters in the great scheme of things if I'm honest. Nothing else really matters if we can get a smile or three ;-)

Oh yea. It was a great day out on the bike. So much fun ;-) Never got to the 1000 year old church (that is where I was actually heading) but still had a lot of fun just having the ride out. I loved it, she loved it and it's an amazing stress relief!! Cheers mate!

Kent Highways have been resurfacing lots of roads with that stuff the last month or so. I know it's not nice the first day or two but it's great to have some better road surface in the long run, they've been rubbish with potholes and cracks. We had a stretch done thru our village, only problem was the gravel built up on the junction with our road and the main road so every time I've been out I've had a big wobble there! Finally gave in and swept it with the broom yesterday :-)

they do it in Denmark too, had a spill because of that, cost me a lot of money to rebuild the bike, and noone would take responsibility...

Not sure of the name, it's just a case of keeping on going straight over all the roundabouts. It's all great out that way though, real bike country ;-) We were actually heading to that 1000 year old Church, not sure if you know of it?

Hey Alex may I ask what road that is that you wanted to go on? The A20 has this crap on it atm from Maidstone to Ashford for about a mile. It's horrible stuff. Can't do any more than 40mph before your bike starts kicking around.

Hi mate good choice turning round my gramp came off on gravel doing 30 and it took his skin and muscle off down to the bone he was wearing full gear too if you slide far enough it acts like sand paper :(

Is that the roundabout by the Hop Farm? I work about 5 minutes away from there, I remember when they did that to the roads it was a fucking nightmare to ride on. If you see a black z1000 with asbo exhausts give us a wave.

Hey Alan, Yea. It's a thing they do over here to save money. Doesn't last and costs more in the long term but that is the way it seems to be these days! If I had a Aston Martin, I'd sell it and buy another bike :-)

lol so funny. Yeah, They have done this to a lot of back roads over here too, bloody ridiculous...barely drive the car up safely with the size of some of the piles of gravel let alone a bike! Just another cheap fix, spray liquid tar on and dump gravel to top coat...

yh, eventually they also told me that 'it takes several days to make the road surface to a high standard' (or something similar), still not up to scratch a month or two on - still bits of gravel lying around nothing beats a good stretch of tarmac imo, guess its all the cuts :'(

great, some people have a lot more than we do but on the bike we probably have a lot more fun,and i know what you mean about gravel roads,i hate them,its just nice to cruze around,cant with the wife yet though as she has still got her broken wrist but hopefully we can in the near future,ride safe.

Beginner as in, you need a 125? Varadero, good road presence, expensive but holds value and very reliable. Plenty leg room and looks like a 600..almost. That would be my choice! Thanks for the sub :-)

Mate, I'm not sure of it's name. I will have to google it but there is no way a bike would do 40 on what we were on there. The camera can't show it but 40 would be far to dangerous. I've seen gravel drives with less :-)

And blah you should bring the mrs down are way went to Stratford Sunday with 32 bikes hit a road that's 10-15 miles straight no speed camera just mobile 1 and with 20 bikes in front you know when they seen him many bikes do 140mph along there but we didn't keeped it safe but your mrs would love it

Hey Gogo. I don't know wtf they are thinking with that gravel stuff. I DO remember a few years ago, I was driving a huge truck and ...BANG... The windscreen shattered, no rhyme, no reason cept it was a very gravelled road. They really DO not care AT ALL!!! But the UK is pretty good at that :-)

Mate, it's not so much the U-turn itself in this instance, it was the inch deep gravel ;p I have done em 2 up on a less, slippery surface but tbh not if I don't have too! I 100% agree with you, make em get off :-)
