been listening to boogie woogie for over three hours here and then this fellow showed up. He's got the gas, the beat, the power and the soul. Thanks for posting.
I have. I knew someone once who sadly committed suicide. A great loss was my friend Gary Burt. 'Battering the boogie at the Kennilworth' is the tag if you want to hear his 7mn rock piano impromptu...
+MIX MAX I had a friend (sadly departed) called Gary that does it like that too and a bit more. I got it on tape and will put it on soon for you all to hear...
+András Bánsági I'll try and look it out but please bear in mind that Gary was not authentically this kind of boogie but could batter the piano like any ever could. This guy playing is the best now as far as I'm concerned and as ma freend Gary's now deed. Perhaps 'Gary at the Kennilworth Piano' might find it for you, but it's just playing no vision...
I play this on my restored 1875 model Story & Clark Saloon style piano, and at this speed, sounds just as great as it does here, just tubbier and more ringy if You can understand what that means. It is an awesome piece of engineering, and has never been bettered, came with the Banjo attachment, Drum, & cymbal, two damper bars on the high hat section, and double strings in the base section. There were only 50 made, and mine is one of only 3 that are known to be left. It is a great satisfaction beyond belief to be able to knockout a musical piece such as this!!!! Mr Watson is one of the best, if not the best, fast Boogie Woogie pianists that I know of, can listen to his playin all day!!!! Lucas Sestak is another great BW player!!!!
Absolutely....WOW!!! WOW!!! What amazing playing. I think it's safe to say you are definitely in the TOP 10 of the BEST Boogie Players on the planet, today. I am JUST beginning to learn this song. Now I have an idea how it SHOULD sound. What an INSPIRATION you are. Thank you for this!
Not many can do it like this, I can, but I do not care for the dumb remarks on YT so I took my page down. Chris is the best at this style and speed Henri is a very close second!!
Chris Watson my god you can certainly knock out some really serious boogie woogie Great Fantastic Marvellous This is just what we all need your up there with the Best
@@MilanPalicka Not that they are not good, but, this is way harder to do and make it sound as good as Chris does. Faster in my opinion, is great, and this guy is fast!!
Qui ne connaît pas Chris watson, la "régénérescence" de J. L. Lewis. Mais ici, c'est la version turbo de Swanee River que nous interprète Chris... "Oh my God, it is faaabulous" comme disent nos amis US...!!! Bonne soirée à tous...
Like chalk and cheese. There's boogie woogie and rock n roll, then there's rap, or as I like to call it with a slightly longer name involving a C. Keep rocking.
Been playing for about 12 years, my right hand is pretty on point with this level, but the left hand... I just dont think my brain will ever be able to play that baseline like that :(
o tu eres JERRY, te agradezco que te identifique como JERRY, con mucho respeto, quien es usted señor, te das es duro con todos los hierros., que locura como tocas ese piano hermano, usted viene de otro sistema
HOW CAN WE GET CHRIS WATSON TO COME TO THE U.S.A.? I LIVE IN A LARGE CITY AND ALOT OF PEOPLE WANT HIM OVER HERE AND TRAVEL AROUND AND SO WE CAN SEE HIM AND WATCH HIM PLAY THE PIANO.
This guy is a rare talent and can play the keys as good as anyone that comes along...Great job...and if anyone thinks different, ya don't know natural talent..
I don't know the musical theory word for it, but it seems like there are a lot of unresolved parts left at the end. The theme has a stack-like structure and he exits while there are still elements on the stack.
