There has been some great research done on musicians (instrumentalists) which seems to show that they begin dementia, if at all, much later in life than persons from other occupations. So not for now, at least!

I've been playing for sixty years (jazz), but boogie woogie is extremely hard unless you have a classical background or start in at the age of 5. I could never do it either

Yes the studio edited the footage before they gave it to me. There was a kid in the front row and I think he yelled or screamed so they cut that second out of the recording before broadcasting. It sucks though, I would have rather had the screaming left in and the music uninterrupted.

BUY OR RENT A PIANO, OR AT LEAST A GOOD KEYBOARD WITH ACTION, OR WEIGHTED KEYS THAT FEELS AND WORKS LIKE A REAL PIANO, 500 - 1,000 BUCKS TO GET A DECENT KEYBOARD, AND THEN START PLAYING ALONG WITH WITH TV, RADIO, RECORDS AND CD's - BUT FIRST WATCH SOME VIDEOS ON THE BASICS LIKE TRIADS AND SIMPLE CHORDS, AND AT LEAST START WORKING ON YOUR SCALES EVERY DAY SO YOU CAN FIGURE OUT WHAT KEY THE SONGS ARE IN, FROM THE CD's ETC. YOU HAVE TO SPEND A FEW DAYS LEARNING WHAT SCALES ARE SO YOU CAN IDENTIFY WHAT KEY THE SONGS ARE IN THAT YOU ARE PLAYING ALONG TO.......THEN IF YOU ENJOY THAT, MAYBE YOU WILL LOVE IT ENOUGH TO LEARN THE LANGUAGE OF READING AND WRITING MUSIC, WHICH SHOULD ONLY TAKE THE REST OF YOUR LIFE TO PERFECT !!! OH, AND THE MOST IMPORTANT PART, ASK GOD FOR THE GIFT OF MUSIC, AND THERE IS A GOOD POSSIBILITY HE WILL GIVE YOU SUCH A GIFT, THAT YOU ARE ALREADY ASKING ABOUT.......IF YOU FEEL HE HAS ALREADY GIVEN YOU SUCH A GIFT, THANK HIM AND GET TO WORK, GOD BE WITH YOU IN EVERY NOTE !!!
