Not a single foot tap from the other musicians to begin with, shame on them! My foot was tapping away with seconds. Jorg is one of the greats and such enthusiasm in his playing
Can you imagine the discipline it takes for all those violinists to just sit there and watch without getting up and doing the boogie woogie. I bet some of them threw their violins in the trash and took up piano lessons after hearing and watching that awesome performance. The piano had smoke coming out the top of it....
Ну хоть один понятный слог. Видно, что от души. Этот пианист- музыкант мне очень нравится! Спасибо! 👌🌹🌹🌹 Кто критикует, тогда сыграй, покажи как надо)))
Very very good and brilliant! (Disadvantage: Since I know Hegemann's Boogie Woogie videos, I don't like any other Boogie Woogie videos on youtube anymore, even my favorites from back then!)
Why are Europeans the only Boogie Woogie players, like this guy, Jorg Hegemann, Luca Sestak, Richie Loidl, Silvain Zingg. Where are the Americans??? They are all GREAT either way!
Wie hat das Max Raabe mal so schön gesagt: "Man weiß, dass die eigene Musik bei den Leuten ankommt, wenn man sieht, dass sie eigentlich aufstehen und tanzen wollen." (Sinngemäß)
How much training one must endure in order to play soooo awesome, so freely...like flying in the skies. Not a single muscle twitch on his face and his hands having mind and soul of their own. Btw. In the video music isn’t always synchronized with hands movement
@@MorainStaria All lies ! Or you would never have answered me. And what i learned, is that people like you will always treat others with names they fear to be called themself, so i take it you are a snob on a high horse 😂
As a classical pianist at a conservatory, but also as a gigging blues musician, this is really special to see. Always nice to see people getting back to what they love! It can be incredibly beneficial to just improvise over a 1/4/5 progression, not only to improve one's classical skills, but also for their soul! Boogie Woogie and Blues is some of the most pure music out there, it just makes you want to dance!
I love how his full body is involved in the performance... probably the most enjoyable piece he’d play that night! Good to see classical performers opened to other styles and having so much fun, well done!
I am now 70 and vividly remember my dear old mum playing boogie on our piano, the house was ful of music but we moved house and my father sold the only piano in the village ours, still when i hear boogie i think of those happier days than now under lockdown.
I have been listening to classical music almost exclusively for over thirty years, but there is something about boogie woogie that just grabs me. It's one of my favorite things in the world.
This is the result of a man... Who has been perfecting his skills for years... FOR YEARS!!!. And this clip shows only ONE of MANY performances he has made through all these years! This Boogie Man is a living legend in my opinion!
Please watch the joy in his face. If there is something that will save us from the AI storm that is coming is this genuine human element: HAVING FUN!!!!
Yes the Mighty Wurlitzer theatre or Church Organ will not dissolve, but will add to any music, just love them when they are played by someone who knows what they will do. like the Castro Theatre Organ in San Francisco
@@billcherry5852 i hate to break your bubble...but steinway has been center stage to the jazz devloppement and have seen groobing lot better then this... oscar peterson has played sophisticated boogie...that are way beyound these 3 chord crap.
Lény the piano isn’t bright enough and it’s adapted heavily to create impressive tonal and timbre colors. It sounds very smooth and round if that makes sense. Definitely amazing for classical, but not bright and pingy enough for rag time/blues
I think they just don't know what to do .would've been super if some could've joined in on their instruments too. I also think he's the best I've ever heard...I always come back to him.
@@zeus-mt7wx They didn't do years of hard study at an conservatory in order to master their instruments that some random schmuck could tell them "they don't understand music"
