I was given this book for our homeschool. I read reviews online and am hesitant to let my 10 or 12 year old read this because several reviews mentioned there's multiple passages about people not taking care of our planet and not being responsible with our resources like the author is trying to push his agenda and opinions onto the readers. Was that your experience with this book? I'm trying to limit my stack of books I need to pre-read so I'd appreciate your insight.

This book definitely talks about endangered species and taking care of the planet. I am not sure what agenda would bother you in it, but ecology and protecting the environment is a major theme. Invasive species and invasive plants are discussed as well.
