Wow! Such gorgeous books! That Folio Society edition of the Farseer Trilogy is a thing of beauty. Thank you for featuring The Prophet of Edan and Return to Edan among all these great books. Having recently read Vaughn Roycroft's Bold Ascension, I can say you're in for a treat there.
What a lovely batch! It’s got to feel good- I love having so much reading ahead of me. Thanks a million for featuring Bold Ascension, Colin! Happy reading!
I'm excited about it! I have a lot of different directions I can travel down right now (which can be good or bad for me) lol. But my heart will always be with fantasy. Thanks for watching, Vaughn!
I am still a lawyer.😂 Once you are in they won’t let you out. “Every time I try to get out, they just keep pulling me back in”. ( most likely a botched Godfather quote) Loved this one, Col.❤
Duuuuuuuuuuuuudeeeeeee what an awesome haul!! So jelly of that Folio Farseer set, and that art was amazing. So happy to see Three Body Problem pop up-that series is an all-time fav with me. I really loved Dark Matter this month my first Blake Crouch! Also can’t wait to try Upgrade and Recursion. Your commitment to the Malazan mmpbs is epic-I gave up and found used or new trade paperbacks starting with bk 5. Loving tracking your journey through the series, and you’re about to do one of the wilder ones with House of Chains.
I didn't know you read Dark Matter in February! I'm so glad you had fun with it man. Maybe we can try and align for Upgrade? I'm so pumped about that FS set. Very tempted to read from it lol. I should just convert to the trades for Malazan but I don't want to go through the trouble of sourcing all of them haha. Thanks for watching brother!
@@ColinsCornerYT oh yah if you're gonna feel the need to complete the Malazan set then just stick to those bricks for sure. Def should align on Upgrade!
Nice haul, there are some really nice books in here! An occasional haul here and there can be kind of fun, especially after holidays or birthdays since it can be cool to see what bookish things people received as well as what they treated themselves to.
I agree with you. I'm not really that big on watching them so I was wondering how you all would feel about this. But I've picked up a pretty eclectic collection of books so I thought it would be fun to share with you guys. Thanks for watching, Derek!
That's a banger of a book haul!! I love how beautiful the Farseer editions are, simple but gorgeous! And nice to hear that you are slowly working on some writing related things, wishing you all the best with that ;)
I love Michael Crighton! I haven't read Prey, but you're in for a treat. I'm glad you liked the book and thank you for all the support you've given me.
Prey isn't very long, so I'm hoping to slot it in somewhere. I'm excited to try out a new to me author that is beloved by so many. And thank you for your support we well, Mike! I truly value our friendship and am glad to have met you.
I’m going to read Where the Red Fern Grows soon. Possibly with my daughter. I want to read Charlotte’s Web with her first though. The infographic grammar book I found at Barnes and Noble!
What a haul! Folio Society makes such amazing books! I have my favorite James Bond book from them. Im just a little bias but you should 100% read the Three Body Problem.
Great haul Colin! I’ve never read Stephen King’s writing book. I’ve heard it’s good though. I need to read Upgrade. Really, I need to read all of his books lol.
Thanks, Chas! I’m excited to dive deeper into Crouch as well. I really like his writing style and had a blast with Dark Matter. Thanks for watching my friend!
Great variety here! Love seeing some classics and even a YA classic! Nice snag on The Bachman Books. I have a copy as well, but pretty much only bought it to read rage. Don’t recommend it lol. And speaking of writing, I actually started writing a little as well! Decided to go with middle grade horror. It’s been a lot of fun!
That's awesome that you also began taking a stab at writing! I'm really having fun with it. Just so much to learn and my expectations are basically nonexistent at this point. I'm just writing for myself at the moment! I will definitely read Bachman Books at some point. If not for anything other than curiosity, I will definitely be reading Rage. Thanks for watching my friend!
I love books and love your book haul! I have many of these myself, or variations of them. Currently reading Revival by Stephen King. I seem to remember that you have read it fairly recently. It is fairly slow for an SK novel but I'm enjoying it.
@@ColinsCornerYT she wrote it when she was struggling with questions of faith and mortality after loosing a child. That book is special. Heartbreaking, the lushest of language and characters that will haunt you from here on out.
Ann Rice and Stephen King where my first horror books I read in my teens getting into horror more and I do suggest the cam0iree chronicle series, there are so many films, rv series and books that where inspired by the series and they are a good read full of character building and all books do bleed into one another
That’s so cool that SK and AR were your horror gateways! I’m so excited to read some Rice finally, from what I hear I think I’m really going to enjoy it: thank you so much for watching and interacting!
You and Vaughn both speak very highly about Bird by Bird. Has me very excited to get to that one! The Guide to Grammer is a great quick reference I've found, and just fun to flip through and refresh and learn with.
