Sorry if this is already somewhere in the comments but a lot of the themes and plot points you discuss finding interesting in Catfish Rolling are also discussed in A Tale for the Time Being by Ruth Ozeki, but by contrast it is executed/integrated beautifully! Highly recommend.

Love your vlogs! I hope you get to move soon/ish to a place you are happier :) I get you about the climate change and grieving it. Where I live doesn't snow (well it did in the past but not in living memory. Now for the last 4 years we haven't even had a frost. The seasons are becoming harder to discern it seems every year we are wondering if we are going to have a "late winter" which instead becomes an "early spring" it's means certain bugs like wasps don't get killed off which is needed, it means certain trees and bulbs which need the cold don't get it - it gets frightening the more I think about it.
