i can not tell you how weird it is for me to see you geek about all the places that are so familiar and just scream home to me, like i've lived in Rome for my whole life, that's my hometown, i have family in naples and have been to the amalfi coast thousand times but seeing you so genuinely excited made me appreciate those places and this culture and these people so much more ahhh we're always so accustomed to our homes that we rarely see all the beauty around us so yeah, taking my time to appreciate how lucky i got to be able to stroll here whenever i want and see the beauty of this country and just take it for granted

I loved to see your way of experiencing Italy, especially Rome. The fact that you skipped the vatican museum to go biking.....I wish more people would travel like you instead of only going to the same 5-10 most looked for stops. Looks like you got a really real, historical and well thought through experience in Italy. So happy for you ❤

Gosh Emma you need to come to Argentina, a short drive out of any city except for Buenos Aires and you have nature everywhere and such different terraines and climates too! 😊

i think i am commenting for the very first time over any of your videos, i have always been a silent visitor of yours but i FINALLY finally watched your travel vlog of italy and rome and now i am going to start this one and i should not contain myself anymore and should say this, i am really REALLY in love with your videography and with your voice and overall, yours is my THE COMFORT CHANNEL EVER!!

I completely understand what you were saying about speaking/practicing the different language. I studied for 4 months in The Netherlands, and most people would recognize right away that I wasn't a native Dutch speaker, so they'd switch to English. It made me so happy whenever someone humored me and continued to speak Dutch.

Living in Italy, sometimes I tend to give for granted the beautiful places we have here and watching you react like that, watching your emotions, has made me fall in love again with my country. Hope you'll have the chance to travel back to Europe in the future!❤

Seeing you in such gorgeous landscapes in Italy is so, so satisfying.

Italy has its hilly and mountainous regions too. Also a precious memory for me was sitting and chatting with an elderly Italian lady on the steps of the hospital/nursing home where she was staying. She was speaking in her Venetian dialect so it was hard to understand everything. On saying goodbye she gave me some cake appropriate for that time of year apologising because she hadn't a plastic bag to put it in.

I'm so glad you had a wonderful time in Italy!!! The places you stayed at were so stunning. 😍I'm from Germany and despite the way smaller distance, compared to your distance from Canada, I've never been there. Your vlogs made me want to go there even more.

I think that Magic Treehouse book is also how I first learned about Pompeii ☺️

thank you so much Emma, I really enjoyed this vlog!! I also partially did the same visits to Rome / Naples / Pompeii last summer and you are definitely so so lucky to be there during off peak season, especially in Rome where literally there were huge crowds everywhere, it was probably 100x noisier and you have to line up for everything. The vatican museum /dome / sistine chapel are definitely worth the visit though, maybe next time :)

Amalfi coast is so beautiful. I remember while driving along the coast road once i encountered a bus coming from the other direction. It was a very curvy and small part of the road and there was not enough room for passing each other. I was on the rocky side of the road therefore i had to set back the car until there was a space wide enough for the bus to pass. I was in a rental car and was not so familiar with it and its measurements so I was sweating blood and water during this interaction. Will never forget it in my whole life.😂 But still Amalfi coast is definitely worth everything.💛

Good job you weren't in Venice in the summer, you can cut the air quality with a knife. Nice to see you had good weather this late in the year. Enjoyed your travel log, brought back a few memories. If you want wilderness try northern Scandinavia, quite beautiful.

Where the ruins have more stories than bedtime tales, and the coastal views are so breathtaking, even the mermaids are considering a vacation! I just suddenly missed the time when I was there to film one of our TV show episode.

i’m so so happy you had a good time in italy emma 🥹🫶🏽 happy for you to have had the opportunity to see the stuff you’re passionate about! also don’t be too hard on yourself with your italian 😭 you also have to think about the fact that most people talk in dialect 24/7 so they know that for non italian people it’s gonna be harder for them to understand (even i struggle sometimes and i’ve been born and raised here loll) you touched on a very important point in your video, the pollution in here it’s literally so bad so so badddd, they actually started to say that we’re one of the most polluted countries in the world 😭💔 it’s so sad :( the wilderness is definitely nothing compared to Canada for sureee, whenever you show the scenery there, the forests and all, i’m so in awe. anyway i’m so happy for you 🫶🏽
