Chasing Shadows was my most recent Lynn Austin read, I think. Really good -- but intense and emotional and I liked that it's from three women's POVs. I adore Pepper Basham so Hope Between the Pages should be high on your list (in my humble opinion.) Love the bookishness of it all -- dual timeline, 2 heroes, 2 heroines, lots of emotion and toe-curls. Pepper is such a versatile author. I'll be reading her latest rom/com in the next week or so.
Yes! You got Valerie's name right😊. I personally dnfed that specific one by her, I might come back to it at some point. I really liked Under the Bayou Moon by Valerie.
@JaneReads yep! I didn't realize that until after I read my first from her and then did some research and discovered a bunch of related "standalones" that reference events from those books. I wasn't lost but knowing you feel like I do about reading a series in order... 🙂😁
“Chasing Shadows” is really good. I am not a fan of WW2, but. Did like this book. “Wonderland Creek” is my favorite of the Lynn Austin books I have read.
I meant to say that I am not a fan of WW2 historical fiction, but I thought that this one was really good. I think I might just have to be in the right mood pick up a WW2 book.

I loved the James Herriot series! That is one I would like to reread. I am also working my way through the Anne series. I believe you are correct about The Wishbook Christmas being the sequel to If I Were You. Those are on my TBR to read this year as well. Lynn H. Blackburn, Lynette Eason and Susan May Warren are always great. I don't think you can go wrong with any of them!
