Wow such a brilliant journal😍😍I love the way you put every leave in a different way in this journal. Such an inspiration. I did gelliprinting with leaves and also faux eco dying ( the way you did it) it’s such fun to do. I also made rust water but have to paint the prints this week. Thank’s for inspiring. Greetings Maia
Such a wonderful video. While telling us the story of the love for this journal and the process it took to create it, I found myself enchanted and I thank you for that.
Sooooo pretty. The park footage was a lovely bonus. I think your idea of putting mordant recipes on the pages is really a good one. Thank you for sharing!
Sooner or later, I will make one of these for myself. Just for me. I also love leaves. I have them stashed all over the place. Never knowing what to do with them, but still I cannot resist collecting them and pressing them. Thank you for this inspiring video. 👏🍃 🍁 🍂 😍
Thank you. I too, love love love leaves. Here in my home town in USA the leaves are starting to turn and I cannot resist picking a handful every time I am outside. My kitties love smelling the interesting scents on them. I will definitely be making my own leaf journal and my thoughts through this fall season. It will be peaceful. Never thought of doing this. Then some of the beauties can be preserved forever. God Bless you for sharing your amazing talent.
Absolutely stunning! One of the most beautiful journals I’ve ever seen. Love how you incorporated the original leaves. And the aesthetic of the eco printing is breathtaking!! Tfs, I feel very inspired to go and make my own mordants for printing with leaves!! Love love love it!!
I enjoyed your journal. Today I learned how to Eco dye with a household lron. Can't wait to try it. You gave me some good ideas for my new journal. Thank you for showing us.
Both your projects and your presentations are always beautiful, thoughtful, and soothing. I’ll note to myself these ideas: turning some quotes into tags and tuck spots and also adding to the journal recipes (for mordants etc). I might create a more generic journal, metaphorical one, about autumn of my life (as I am entering that age) - time of wise maturity and preparation of space for what will be after I complete my last beautiful dance in the air (as falling leaves do). Thanks for the inspiration as always!🍂🍂🍁🍁
You're so welcome! Glad you enjoyed the video. I feel that I am entering the autumn stage of my life, too and it's something that needs to be celebrated and accepted with grace and gratitude. Thank you so much for watching and always leaving me nice comments. I really appreciate it ❤️😊
Hello from France , what a beautiful park and what a beautiful journal! I have to do mine now, whith the ecoprints that I have made , watching your vidéos! A lot of thanks for these ! 😘
Your journal is so very lovely. I watched your videos of how you made the leaf prints and now seeing how you put them into a storybook is so inspiring. I used my pasta machine to make leaf prints and it worked, but now I will invest in a sizzix so I can make better ones. Thank you so much for sharing!
Such a beautiful journal. Just love your nature creativity. I've been collecting and pressing leaves all month. I also made some iron water and it's just like you said, "like magic." Have never done gelli printing but would love to try it. Will watch your videos Ty for all the inspiration and for sharing your creativity in such a calming manner. Very enjoyable to watch and what a lovely park to go to with your beautiful dogs and husband. Enjoy the rest of your day and what's left of the fall.
Thank you so much for your kind comment! I really appreciate it. I'm really glad you enjoy my videos. I think nature is so beautiful and magical, and a never ending source of inspiration for me 😊❤️
This is just stunning. Like many of us, Autumn is my favorite season. The colors are so beautiful. I have never tried gel printing, but the beautiful way you have displayed them makes me want to try the process. I’m going to have to find the video where you show how to do it. Your videos are so well done - very informative, and your calming voice make them a pleasure to watch. Thank you for your creativity and generosity in sharing this with us. ❤
You're very welcome! I'm so glad you enjoyed it! 😊❤️ There's a playlist on my channel called Gelli Printing Fun, a few tutorials and process videos. I hope you enjoy those, too 😊
Thank you so much Steffi! It was a perfect setting for the flip through. Oh I wanted to have more ambiance sounds but some visitors to the park were really loud, including my husband and my dogs 🤣🤣🤣. Had to turn the volume down and do the voice over.🤣🤣🤣. It was a fun experience though 😊
Oh Dragana, this is such a precious journal! Just beautiful! I really like all of the laminating too and how you used it!! I’m a bit under the weather but I’m hoping that when I get better I can add some of my experiment’s to your Facebook! Such fun! Continue the great work!! Thank you! 💕💕
What a beautiful journal. I’m so happy that it brings you joy. Each page has its own design lending to the overall composition. I love seeing you precious dogs and national park. Thank you for sharing this wonderful video.
You're very welcome! I'm really glad you enjoyed it. It was a fun day out and perfect opportunity to do the flip through. Thank you so much for watching! Your comments are always appreciated 😊❤️
Your journal has turned out fabulous 👌 👏👏👏🍂🍂🍂 ....looks great!!!!! Ps.....my bits are still sitting in a pile lol,but you've now inspired me to go and use them 🎉😂 .....thankyouuuu again XXX
I've found your channel a fww weeks ago and I'm loving it so much!!! I love that you show us some of your country. Could you tell me what's your mother language, and speak a little, just for fun?
Thank you so much! Bosnian is my mother's tongue. The language has many similarities with Croatian and Serbian languages. I understand and speak all of these. Hvala na posjeti i lijepom komentaru!❤️
Such a beautiful journal shown to us in a gorgeous beautiful setting. Your inspiration is once again unsurpassed. QUESTION: when you laminated the leaves you ran through your big shot, were they still damp or did you dry them out further? Thank you so much. ❤❤❤
You're very welcome! Thanks so much for your nice comment. To answer your question, I left the leaves in between some papers for a few days to completely dry. Laminating even a slightly damp leaf would result in mold forming after a while. 😊❤️
Ever since I came across your first leaf printing video I've been squashing leaves in my Sizzix like crazy! I love that the fall colours can sometimes come out in the different leaves. I've found that Japanese Maple makes gorgeous red and purple transfers, but the Ginko Biloba leaves are full of "leaf juice". I'm currently making dyes to try out myself, but I always struggle to get my papers to get flat again after being wet. I've got them in a big heavy book right now but it doesn't seem to be working. Any ideas on how to keep your pages flat after using mordant/dye?
I leave them under heavy books for a few days. It usually works ok if the papers are thin. You can try ironing them, I suppose. Sometimes I put them through the sizzix to flatten them. I use extra pieces of scrap paper so that cut marks from the plate don't transfer onto papers. I recently discovered that when you sandwich the papers between fabric and run through the sizzix your papers will end up with nice fabric like texture 😊
You can see the laminating process here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-XhNznGT-6Gs.htmlsi=t86mJIeiPwI__e_U Fast forward to around 20 minutes 😊
