Book of Star | I Almost Denounced Delta Sigma Theta Part 2 

I renounced and denounced a Greek organization many years ago. The Holy Spirit simply told me I needed to make a choice who I would pledge my allegiance to. Once I researched the symbolism and the words I spoke, I chose the Lord because He is my Lord and Savior. This is not attack against you and no condemnation against you. We all must work out our own salvation. My prayer is that Truth will speak to you and show you what you really need to see. The Lord says "thou shalt have no other gods before Me." Take care.

You can do community service without joining a Sorority

Instead of "but God" it's really "but stronghold". The stronghold is what stopped denouncement and this is an example of how the spirit of confusion operates.

It seems like you have gotten the voice of God confused with the voice of the enemy and the voice of your own wants and desires. Your friend came to you in the wrong way but you cannot use the imperfections of the church members or even your friend as an excuse to stay in a sorority. The God of this world is confusing you. Many of those who have denounced their letters have stated that they studied their word and specifically read the book of Exodus and studied the ten commandments. The enemy has tricked you into staying in this sorority because the sorority is what is really in your heart and what you want to do. Sometimes when we really want something that God is trying to pull us away from then we become our own enemy.

The deception is real

I applaud you for sharing your journey. I encourage you to refer back to your ritual and read what was read or spoken over you as well as what you agreed to. When you consider that the group within Delta Sigma Theta that leads the initiation process of becoming a Delta is the Minerva circle consider that possibly there is idolatry involved. If you haven’t already done so, consider doing research into Minerva. Whether your process is the same as someone else’s is less important than hidden meaning revealed only to the members of the organization (prior to the internet that is). We all have free will and those of us in Christ also have a discerning Holy Spirit. If He has told you this is your ministry that is between you and God. As a sister in Christ, since I have heard your message, I am accountable to share since I too was once a member of Delta Sigma Theta. I am charged with revealing what was shared with me and leaving the rest to the Holy Spirit. Peace and Wisdom of the One True God overtake you. Regards.

Well said. Our walk with Christ is personal and we are responsible for being obedient to what the Lord says. Be at peace with your obedience. Id rather look crazy and obey God than please people. Be encouraged sister and stay strong in the Lord!

The Lord will have no other God before Him. The vows you take when pledging are disobedient to Him and He is a jealous God. Worshipping Minerva, changing scripture to be obedient to letters, etc. Those things are NOT of God and He ain’t having that. Keep playing that game if you want to. You gone be stepping somewhere and it’s not on golden streets babe. Love you.

I hope that the families all of the kids who were beaten and died in the name of these organizations for brother/sisterhood and community service find solace and peace. Why anyone would be want to be apart of anything that requires a member to be tortured and dehumanized just to be accepted by a group will never make sense to me. 😢

Thanks for Part 2, soror! Your personal relationship with God does not and will not prevent you from doing His will. We can participate in other organizations outside of church without losing sight of God. Again, some people would like to push their way of thinking on you to satisfy them. DON'T!! I’ve seen a ton of denouncing videos from a lot of D9 members over the years and more recently these past couple of years. The things they’ve said they went through and done was beyond horrible and humiliating and most have stated all of the things they did went directly against the word of God (some of these people didn’t even believe nor follow God before joining and while they were members).

She’s right. If you’re truly doing what you say my sister you’re right. God bless you.

It takes a very special skill set to ignore the divisiveness, hoarding and pillaging of resources, slander, sadism, etc. at the expense of others under the guise of "service," "sisterhood," "networking." All while smiling ear to ear.

There are quite a few people in this comment section who are operating under a spirit of religion. I can clearly hear the Holy Spirit through what you're saying and through some of your experiences. God is calling His vessels to every mountain of influence (education, family, media, arts, entertainment, the church, government, etc.) and in many of these spaces you will encounter idolatry, deception, unfair practices, demonic spiritual activity, etc. That does NOT mean that God does not want those He assigns to be there to remain. Remember Daniel faithfully remained in position in a corrupt governmental system where idolatry was promoted. He did not create division, put the leaders on blast, plan his exit, and judge anyone else who remained. NO...he stayed in his divine assignment and remained true to His God. And, because he was obedient and remained...he impacted his environment, inspired the King to abandon his destructive ways, and the one true God was then elevated. Only God knows what His plans are for each of us. And, while I do believe God will lead some people to denounce membership, I do not believe it is every single person's instruction. Let God be God people! Many of you behave like Pharises & Sadducees, even though you clearly can read how Jesus viewed them and those operating under the spirit of religion, like them. We are under the dispensation of grace and what we should hear more of is genuine love, compassion, concern, and heartfelt intercession for our sisters and brothers. I bind the spirit of religion oppressing, imprisoning & dividing Believers right now! And, I loose the Spirit of the Living God that has freed us from the bondage of religion and has bestowed the gifts of the His Holy Spirit and continually develops in us, the fruit of that same Spirit. God may have you in position to transform the aspects of the organization that He desires to be changed. Have thine own way, Lord. Create in us clean hearts and renew right spirits in us.

She (Star) knows the God she serves and understands that you can be a member of different organizations without affecting your faith walk. I lost a couple of friends but I positively affected many others. You hit it dead on.

Confusion

If you didn’t sign your name in a book, then you’re not a Delta. If you did then that’s what Christian have a issue with; everyone from the DST have said oaths. You have as well hence why you’re in the org. Please do not create vids confusing us who truly want answers this vid is all over the place. For instance, aren’t their Muslim women in the organization of Delta, the Christian based org? I’m not sure if you know what you want to do this vid seems like your confused & trying to convince yourself

The spirit of deception and delusion is running rampant. God is not the author of confusion. God will NEVER lead you into idol worship, demonic covenants and rituals to have purpose.

Everyone’s walk to the Lord is idiosyncratic-- No two people will have the exact same interpretation- for all the intolerant people judging here for “oaths”, make sure you read Numbers 30 where God in detail explains how we can make oaths and how we must commit to whatever it is we make an oath to do :) blesssings ma’am God knows your heart, thus you don’t have to explains HIS connection to your soul

I’m curious about how you could be a part of the organization and not have to follow their long standing rituals. I always thought they followed guidelines that came from the Grand Chapter and to be apart of the organization you had to follow those guidelines.

So God told you it’s ok to connect yourself to a false god. I don’t think so

What does obedience look like for a person who may not have done pledges, but chants? How can you say you’re obedient to God when you have chants “all your love peace and happiness goes to _____” is a chant/pledge

Thank you for your videos. I too believe the concerns our brothers and sisters in christ have are valid. However, I am one that believes that if you are going to condemn one thing then don't half step. Condemn it all. That's another story tho lol. I appreciate you sharing your message with us. I think people have gotten things slightly twisted. I do believe that D9 orgs were founded on Christian principles but let's not forget black people are NOT a monolith. All black folks are not Christian. Not to mention the vast diversity of black people who practice Christianity differently. I would dare to even say that the founders of these orgs were more religiously high strung than we are today. I doubt they would ever play with God in a matter like that. Not to say that it couldn't happen. As a member of a D9 Fraternity, I would never denounce my letters because I didn't bow down or worship anything to get them. I've never seen a group of more highly educated, christ driven black men in my life. I know the same must be for DST. I'm not sure what other people have done, but as per these denouncing videos it was clearly not of christ. Keep on speaking your truth.

Greetings! As you share your journey and discuss what God wants for people, please lead them to The Word. It's not about religion. Religion is a lie. It's about the written Word of The Most High. It's about following the Commandments and Laws as written in the Bible that contains the documented Word of God as spoken by the Prophets. If you yourself aren't following the Commandments (for instance, observing the Sabbath....on Saturday....to keep it Holy) vs. observing Sunday (and worship of the sun god) then everything you say....becomes suspect. I write from a place of sisterly love having been initiated almost 30 years ago. I have no opinion....only that which is written in The Bible of The Most High God. So, Soror, ask yourself, what god do you serve? I serve the God of Abraham, God of Isaac, God of Jacob who became Israel.
