The Encyclopedia of Herbal Medicine, and Herbs (Eyewitness Handbook) are great starts to your herbal medicine journey. Yes, they have the valuable information, but they also look great. If nothing else, they make great coffee table books.
Thanks for watching. Stay tuned to see what else is brewing here at Table Rock Tea Company!

Hello, i am looking for a most complete book for herbalism. Thats how i found your video. I am a starter but i do use very specific products. In most basic books there is no information about motherworth for example. Is there in this book room for adaptogens? Like Ashwaghanda, maca, sint jans worth, rhodiola rosea and those sorts ? I would really want a book where is described wich plants you can combine safely and why not. I also saw that there is a new ediotion of the Andrew Chevallier encyclopedia with now 560 herbs en remedies. Which one would you recommend?

I would still go with this volume and add to it as you grow - there is no single book that captures everything, but this one os definitely a great start These are my core favorite books for herbal medicine. If you use the links, that helps me with Amazon associates. -Herbal formularies for health professionals, Stansbury (5 volumes). Advanced, but can be read by intermediates - a lot in these. amzn.to/3Xgkgze amzn.to/3V9gwOb amzn.to/3Aw1QRr amzn.to/3EmrHwi amzn.to/3UWEigD -If unfamiliar with medical terms, Tabers dictionary will help there: amzn.to/3hMwzD6 -Encyclopedia of Herbal Medicine, Chevalier is just a really great, beautiful book with amazing illustrations. Beginner to advanced. I’d personally start with this one amzn.to/3TPrTK3 -Making plant medicine, Cech. A must have for how to make standardized herbal medicines. Intermediate. amzn.to/3tIfEnZ

Nimh is also an American institution. They perform clinical studies, so far I’ve learned on different things and outcomes from thyroid studies (personal reasons) and also seen studies on how protein affects the liver. Seen mental health studies on their site. So I’m sure there are studies on herbal medicine too. As far as the title nimh I wonder if there’s any correlation.

Two different unrelated organizations. Nimh (US) is National Institute of Mental Health. In the UK it’s National Institute of Medical Herbalists.

I don’t think so - you would need more of a field guide for that. This is more of what to do with them after harvesting

I need Tea that's going to give me extreme energy boost do you have one of those I can buy?
@tablerockteacompany

Our marathon black tea is about the highest natural caffeine content of any tea in the world. Our Bear Claw is close to that. Beyond that, and you were talking about actually adding caffeine, which I would highly discourage from a medical point of view.

@@tablerockteacompany so your bear claw is what I should get for energy?
@tablerockteacompany

@@Benihime888 - Bear Claw is our homegrown, Marathon is Kenyan. Both will have higher caffeine - nothing like a Red Bull or whatever, but natural.

What is most natural herbals for energy?
@tablerockteacompany
@tablerockteacompany 2 года назад
(Sustainable) energy really has more to do with diet and exercise than it does about any particular herbs - those only give temporary boosts.
