Hi Andrea, I'm a mom of a 12 months old boy, and I love love love your channel. I've been wondering how to speak with my son so that he will not get confused (I basically use 3 languages in daily life, i.e., Indonesian, Japanese, and English). I have watched some of your videos and considered myself lucky that I found your channel :) :) Thanks for your review. The book is very cute. This is the kind of book I've been looking for! I consciously clicked your Amazon link (too bad you don't have the one linked to Amazon Japan, hehe) and of course clicked the like & subscribe button. Sending love from Japan. 💗

Werde mir gleich solche Bücher kaufen. Danke für den Tipp. Für ältere Kinder finde ich Wimmelbücher super. Es ist ebenfalls für mehrsprachige Erziehung geeignet und die Kinder haben viel zu entdecken.
This is so great! Oh how cute is that part where you read the book to your child. I wish I could understand spanish so I can get ideas on what to say to my child when reading a book with no text. (I understood a few words where you named the animals , counted them and said the colors etc) This video actually answered a question I had about reading the same book in different languages on different nights: I was worried that my baby would be confused looking at the same photos, drawings but hearing the words in different languages and I can tell from this video that this was not an issue for your children. Do you think this would be okay for me to read the very same book (same pictures, same pages) in different languages on different days to my 7 month old baby. Turkish is my native language but I want to expose him to German too. I know that after 1.5 years or so OAOL can be used to read the same book in different languages but my baby is not quite there yet as he has not started speaking. I wish I could find him a daycare program that exposed him to something other than english but it is hard to find where I live in the US, not in a big city. I am going to have to work very hard for him to speak turkish and also to be familiar with german later on. Thank you for such a great video!
Great video! Thank you. Question: Do your recommend using different books to introduce different languages? Or can you use the same book and simply change the language approach on different day's?
Than you, I'm glad you liked it. Well, it depends. If you are using the OPOL and each person reads or tells the child a story using their respective languages... that is no problem. But if it's the same person uses the same book with other languages, I wouldn't recommend it. It has to be very clear for kids when you switch the language. The best methods for that are the OSOL or the one that I like to use the most OAOL. Check out this video if you want to know more about those methods. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-4_NKd4GvZLg.html I'm also giving free material for activities, games, and other tools to my multilingual email subscribers. Hi! This type of book look very interesting. I have no kids yet but i am willing to teach my kids in the future to be multilingual. I speak mauritian creole which is a spoken language only and I'm academically good in English French and Urdu while my husband he speak turkish and english. We communicate in english. I was thinking of speaking my mother tongue which is creole to kids while he will speak turkish them. I am very keen to teach them english french to a good level to be able to speak, write and read as well. At home my partner and we speak english as i don't speak turkish. I am still not sure what 3 languages to prioritise to teach them below their 3 years old since I can speak 4 languages. Any suggestion?
Great question and it comes right on time, because I'm releasing on WEDNESDAY a video called "How to Raise a Multilingual Baby in MORE than THREE Languages" and in there you will find a useful tool that will help you figure out how to organize yourself and your family regarding language learning.
