I know I was so happy for olive when she got the okay to come work for him and Tom seemed like such a nice guy I was so surprised when he turned out to be a narcissistic asshole
I wanted to love this book SO badly, and actually I didn’t dislike Levi that badly. It was Bee. Don’t get me wrong I LOVED her at the beginning of the book, and I especially enjoyed her science rants. But towards the end she started to say a lot of stuff that just seemed manipulative. Idk it just started to ruin the book.
No I read the love hypothesis and loved it so much however love on the brain was horrible. I was so upset while reading it because I don’t know how she made such a masterpiece and then a super shitty book
i genuinely think this book could have gotten a better review than this, but I think that's the downside of booktok hype for any book, even before reading the book people have notions about it because of its popularity through booktok. so that really on one hand increases readership/accessibility for the book but also increases biases because of the hype
yeah, it's really hard reviewing a book and giving it the review that it deserves in under a minute, too. I think you make an excellent point about going into a book with expectations, and the time limit really does not leave space for discussing exactly what you wrote. Totally agree. I stand by not liking the main love interest tho lmao
