started reading the book! Walter has turned into such an art critic/ analyst for the book, more than just telling a story about this man

at 29 minutes approx, I laughed out loud! I've got ADHD and Autistic spectrum condition.. and I'm a left handed artist who completes commissions really late.... trying to perfect one right now with inspiration from this talk. I'm in my 40's and have recently been diagnosed. anyway I stopped taking my meds because I couldn't do my work. my Work is my medication... 🤣

I've always thought the Last Supper was like an office party dinner where the waiter has come with the bill. The three guys on the far right say "so, who had what exactly, and how do we split this?" and the arguments and reactions run down the table

Are you sure you have ever seen the Duomo in Milan? How do you dare to describe it as a monstrosity? I’m shocked.

I thought i would share my discovery about the points of light in the crystal ball. I used the photo in Walter Isaacson’s book (a great read btw!). I took a piece of tracing paper & connected the points of light, making a triangle. I rotated the triangle 180 degrees Then traced 3 lines; each one from a point of the triangle through the midpoint of the line on the opposite side of the triangle. i extended these lines to the edges of the painting. Then placed this inverted triangle, with the point up, at the center of Christ’s neck, just below his beard. Tilting it slightly, I found that the 3 lines intersected: the center of the crystal ball, the midline of the face of Christ, and through his hand pointing upward. So instead of inverting the image in the crystal ball, Da Vinci inverted these 3 points of light (which matches the positions of the head, hand & the crystal ball itself)!! He was a bit of a trickster after all …

I don't want to be too hard on Walter Isaacson because none of the art critics or art journalists noticed this either but Leonardo did NOT paint the Salvator Mundi. I'll stake my life on it. Here's proof: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ZRn_JOu7-tU.html

It's Verrochio, not Viraggio. Do your homework.

DaVinci was anonymously accused of a homosexual act, likely made by enemies. The accusation almost cost him his life but was instead brutality beaten as punishment (Florence was not remotely tolerant of homosexuality).There is only speculation that he was a homosexual.Many none Artists don’t understand the asymmetrical social lives Artists sometimes have. This often leads to projection and assumptions . He may have had any number of sexual interest and we will doubtfully ever know.I suspect DaVinci will be what ever the social flavor of the day requires.

Leonardo was homosexual & Salai was his lover for over 30 years. No evidence of any kind of relationship with a woman. 🏳️‍🌈

As I’ve stated over and over again, Walter is not an artist. There was another video from the Aspen Institute on RU-vid with a long comment I wrote about Walter which has been removed. His book is flawed, not scholarly at all and copies-and-pastes the research of others. Nothing exciting in this book. If anything, it confuses the life of Leonardo.

LT tell us where was he wrong in the book...
@Xposthmous
@Xposthmous 4 года назад
Revival For starters, On page 448 of his book he wrongly attributed the red chalk drawing to Melzi when it’s actually d’Oggiono.

Revival Also, he indiscriminantly mixes up stories from Vasari with the latest documentary research.

Everything he says he "thinks" Lenny is thinking or doing are just his idea's. Like the guy at the end of the bar who can tell you everything about everything. Down home we call it Bull Shit!
