Can you emboss and paint on the clothbound book? It is usually done with leather. However, if it can be done on cloth, then that can open new possibilities for anyone going into bookbinding for the first time.
Now that is some true skill, taste and dedication. Would love an in-depth presentation of all your original designs and the actual penguin collection you bought !
It depends on the paper you use! Some are double sided and have designs on the back as well, sometimes they are just white on the back, and sometimes I use plain colored cardstock similar to what the PCC books use and then it’s just the plain colored cardstock 😊
