I really wish I could get back into reading. I used to read a lot as a child and teenager but get so easily distracted now, finding it hard to concentrate. Loved the vlog ❤

I loved Mile High I really did - I’m not a sport romance girlie but thought I’d start this series because I’m into Baseball to get to that book so I was so surprised and bought the entire series!! I hope you love them - love your vlogs never miss one 💜💜💜
I absolutely agree with you about the high street. I adore them! I miss Paperchase; they did have beautiful journals. I am now using Japanese ones, which I get from Waterstones. Your journal is adorable! You are creative!

I ordered from them once and was very satisfied! Didn't have free shipping though since I live outside of the uk but I would definitely buy from the again!
@@poppycalliope love this! 99% of my books are from there and if you choose 'like new' or 'very good' condition you practically get brand new books without the environmental footprint - it’s a win-win 🙌
@@haleymusix3402 exactly! The condition of all of them was really good and I honestly don't mind a couple of stains or a rip here and there. It gives the book character and I imagine that there is a story behind it (for example I saw a reddish stain so I thought that the previous owner was sipping wine) 😂
@@poppycalliope I also once got one that was clearly a library book at one point as they also have an 'old and rare‘ section and it just felt like that book has travelled more than me! I love it 🤣

I listened to powerless and reckless, I don’t think my emotions will take powerful 😊 I really enjoy reading but I’ve always struggled to find time to sit down and read so I found audible has helped me listen to books on the go which has been a brilliant solution for me personally. It has taken some time to get into it and now I’m able to listen to it at the pace also.😂😂
Fab video as always Ellen!. So glad you picked up the Windy City series by Liz Tomforde (they are worth the hype imo). The first two books are good but the 3rd and 4th are 5⭐️ reads. The bond between brothers Kai (Caught Up) and Isaiah (Play Along) Rhodes is so special. I finished Play Along last week and cannot stop thinking about it. Isaiah has smashed all other MMCs out of the water for me, he is absolute perfection 💜. This isn’t the usual surface level sports romance. There’s something about Liz’s writing that gave me all the feels and pulls you in. I also loved the strong found family running through all the books. I hope you enjoy them and can’t wait to hear your thoughts.

I'm a retired art educator & artist in Virginia. So, I know you like romance novels, but I have a few recommendations for "great reads" for you! These aren't romance novels, but great writers and books. So, I'll start with these and add more later! 1) The Girl Who Wrote in Silk, Kelli Estes 2) A recent read was, The Consequences of Anna, Kate Barkin &Mark Born 3)The Henna Artist, Alka Joshi Hopefully, I'll send more if you are interested. I tend to read books that are historical fiction with a female heroine and the setting some other place than the country I live in. You're smart and young and that's FABULOUS!

Would love to see you sign up to your local library🥰 you can find all the books you love for FREE (physical and audio) and if you really desperately want to keep one, then you can buy it. Libraries have a great atmosphere and offer so much more than just books too. Also I highly recommend secondhand bookshops, I very often pick up like new books in them including recent titles and they are a fraction of the price.
I’d love to say it’s because it’s super sunny at home at the moment. But really it’s just habit 😂 when my hair is down they keep the hair out of my face so well, so now I just reach for them in the summer without even thinking about it 😂

More of a recommendation! i love the references to other characters you've read about, especially the ending - some of the previous book characters feature quite heavily. But it doesn't affect your understanding at all if you don't read them first ❤️
