Do you know what SERIES I hate? Throne of Glass. It's a VERY unpopular opinion but I find the series extremely cheesy. I've read 4/5 books and I've hated EVERY ONE. I'm starting to wonder whether I'm reading the same series honestly

OMG I hated Taking Chances with a burning passion! It's one of those books that I will never ever read again, and I'm so glad that I only had it on eBook because I was able to immediately delete it. I tried to erase it from my memory. lol

I can watch you rant for hours and not complain about it. You're just a few of the booktubers who's so genuine. I like your unfiltered way of expressing your thoughts.

You should watch the Crash Course Literature video about Slaughterhouse Five. John Green does a great job explaining what he thinks the book was about. I haven't read the book yet, but after watching that video, I really want to read it. It's an antiwar novel and the author's experiences during the war and ptsd after the war. I was reading the comments on that video and some people think that it could be fantasy as well for some reason. I can't say everything here because this comment will get way too long, but John Green and the comments in that video made me really want to read it even though I hate books about historical wars (except the wars in Japan during the Edo era, those are so interesting to me). Didn't you guys have class discussions? We usually did every week and we would talk about what we think the book is about, it really helped because some books were so confusing. Two classics I hated are Brave New World and Journey to the Center of the Earth. I read Brave New World for school in I think grade 11 and I hated it. I read the other book this March and it took me a whole month to read it. The first of the book was so boring and the Professor was so unlikable for most of the story, he gets better near the end and the main character complained so much and he never actually did anything to fix his problems, he just did whatever his uncle told him to do even though he didn't want to. I was expecting an epic adventure to the center and while the ideas and concept are interesting, I love some of the things they find, but the execution was done poorly. It's a short book, but I felt like I was reading a 600 page book. Because of these terrible reading experiences, I hate that people think they need to like classics or feel obligated to read and like them and that they're perfect because they're classics. I think that like other books, it depends on the person reading it. I don't understand how people think that JttCotE is a great classic when there is very slow plot development and not much character development, but that's just what I think, everyone's different after all.

I dont really hate many books. The lowest rating I ever gave was a 2 star (IT WAS OKAY). My least favorite books are 'Alex and the Ironic Gentleman', 'A Wrinkle In Time' and 'To Die For' which I either never finished or gave away.

So... would you recommend to read "Easy" by T. Webber even if the sequel is bad ? Because I bought it months ago... 😅

I was waiting for that taking chances video lol I agreed so much with the hatred for it...I used to actually get in a bad mood thinking about it. Still haven’t tried another book from her out of fear lol I didn’t know I could hate a book so much until I read it but since I hate not finishing books I forced myself, I could’ve written a book and sequel with how much I used to hate that book lol..

I absolutely love the movie before i fall. probably will never watch it again. it makes you feel very existentially empty after being sad, and I guess i dont like that feeling. alot of the scenes were very relate-able and thats probably why

there’s are books i’ve read where i can only get half way through or takes me a months to finish because they are just way to slow.

OMG LAURA I TOTALLY AGREE, i hated taking chances too, its kinda a copy of beautiful disaster, dont get me wrong i LOVED beautiful disaster but this book was just annoying, the love triangle was bad, the cheating, the girl getting pregnant and the worst part, that PLOT TWIST, you should really make a video about this book

I hate the stigma that all bi people are cheaters. It's not true!!! I'm bi and have been with the same person for 6 years. And happily married. I know some people use it as an excuse to cheat but that doesn't mean it's okay. I love listening to you vent about these things. This was a great video!

Of Poseidon. This book had so much problem content--the biggest being how abusive/controlling the main guy was towards the main girl, yet we were supposed to be rooting for them to admit that they loved each other (not even falling in love, because they loved each other from pretty much the beginning). Not to mention the sister to the guy who was married to a different guy without even being present at the ceremony. Most people seem to love this book/series, and I just can't understand it at all.

oh my I have a lot of books I didn't like. Mistborn! Tried 2 times and couldn't do it. fangirl hated the simon parts. There are way too many as I DNF often.

Books that I couldn't finish are. 1, Twilight By. Stephenie Meyer - Only read one chapter. 2, The Host By, Stephanie Meyer - Only could read just the one page. 3, The Fault In Our Stars By, John Green - Could only read the first chapter not a fan.

There aren't many books that I have ever hated, though I do have a few * and ** books on my goodreads read shelf that I didn't really like.

I actually love Ethan Frome and read it for fun because I loved Edith Wharton's other book😂

Pushing the limits was a great book. In some sense i related with both characters but to each their own

I remember Ethan Frome, we were reading it in my AP class and there was a divide in the class over whose fault this all was. Whether it was Ethan, or Mattie or Zeena or all three of them, people were torn one of four ways. I remember saying to my teacher, "I've never read a book where I hated every single character including the narrator until now." But that book did spark a fun, if not intense debate in the classroom which I'm guessing was the point of the book.

Awe, I'm sad you didn't like Before I Fall. I loved it. Made me cry like a big fat baby. Lol

I liked Before I Fall because I felt like it had so much potential but the ending was confusing and kind of ruined the whole thing for me. But I still havent watched the movie, so I'm definitely going to check it out! And ahaha I agree with Palo Alto even though I only saw the movie, they did make it a really "pretty" "pastel" "artsy" vibe though to make up for the plot I think :P

I really believe that some authors (and books) are 'liked' by many because there is a widespread feeling that if you are sophisticated you are 'supposed' to like them -- and I think Vonnegut is one of those.

Oh man, i watched Palo Alto for the first time not too long ago because a lot of people say its good and i felt disappointed because i hated it so much I couldn't even finish it haha

i only read the second book in Pushing The Limit series. Im dying to read the rest of them. Books i hate. 1.After series 2. Twilight( I liked the books when i was back in high school, but now i can't stand the book series. Bella is way to whinny for my liking. .

OMG! FINALLY SOMEONE AGREES THAT TAKING CHANCES IS TERRIBLE!! I read it years ago and I just hated it, but I tired to read From Ashes and I just couldn't do it, so I gave both of them to my friend and she ended up loving them 🤷🏻‍♀️ I know I have quite a lot of books that I didn't like but I can think of any of them right now 😂

Just One Day, To All The Boys I've Loved Before, The Elite (not the whole series), Delirium, the Throne of Glass series, Me and Earl and the Dying Girl, Wuthering Heights and Where She Went. I know a lot of people love some of these, but they just weren't for me.
