Hello everyone I did a detailed and in-depth flip-through for my son's 2nd-grade homeschool curriculum for the 2022-2023 school year. For language arts, we will be using the Bookshark language arts curriculum. If you would like to see a detailed flip-through of all the other curriculums we will be using this year please let me know. As always, thank you for watching!

You can still order the History program and customize it to remove the readers you already have ordered. I've done that myself last year.

Really? Did you have to put each item in cart individually?

This was extremely helpful! I don't want to get the history to go with it and was wondering if this is doable with just the instructor's manual and the readers.

Hi! We are on our first week of this program and so far so good. The only time it has mentioned the history portion is in the vocabulary development part where it says that it ties in with the history programs read aloud and the words and vocabulary development instructions are in the history instructors guide but I just use wordly wise for my sons vocabulary development and that has been working so far. If I feel he needs more vocabulary then I will probably just seek a workbook that contains vocab.

@@yahairasclassroom7715 hey thanks. I'd love updates as you have them as we are still a few weeks out from getting this curriculum.

Do U have any idea that what is the difference between Bookshark science and Noeo science curriculum?

I’m sorry I’m not too sure on this. I have the language arts portion of Bookshark and did notice that they provide readers to go with the lessons but also recommend other workbooks such as wordly wise, explode the code, etc. to go with the program. Not sure if they do this with the science portion as well.

My daughter fell behind in reading and writing. I don't know if it's me that isn't teaching her correctly or if she isn't interested enough. It drives me crazy.

Judith first of all let me say I’m sorry to hear about your frustration, I’ve felt this when I’ve watched videos of kids and felt like my son was not in the same level as them. But it’s helped me to remember that the beauty of homeschooling is that If something isn’t working for us we can try something else and if all else fails I can seek help outside of the homeschool room. If you don’t mind me asking, in what manner does your daughter learn best? Is she visual learner, an auditory learner? Also feel free to message me on Instagram if you feel more comfortable.☺️

@@yahairasclassroom7715 I believe she is a visual learner. Where could I seek help outside of the homeschool room?

@@judith3413 I believe it would depend on your state. If I were searching for extra help in reading and phonics, I would search for a reading interventionist near me. I would also ask to possibly sit in on the first lessons just to see how my son was doing and how I could help support his learning more in our classroom.
