Lovely tour of your bookshelves. I must say, I showed my lovely lady your videos and she adores your house, especially your very cosy living room! I like that you have many editions of Harry Potter. I’ve always disliked Harry Potter, based purely on its fantasy genre because it’s never been my thing. My sweetheart loves them, though, and knows everything there is to know about the whole Wizarding World. So, I decided to open my mind to it, and today I finished the first book, Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone. I am happy to report, I really enjoyed it. It’s made me open up to books I’ve seen you mention in videos before that may not have been “my thing”, such as A Starless Sea. So thank you! I hope you’re doing well and are living your best life. I look forward to your next warm and cosy video
Thank you so much, Christopher! I'm so excited for you and your Harry Potter journey. I actually did not read the Harry Potter series until I was 20 years old. In them, I found much more than a fantastical story about an orphaned wizard boy... they reawakened my childhood magic and helped me to better deal with the everyday stresses of adult life. There's so much wisdom within these books, they're such a comfort to me. I'm so very glad your lovely lady shares my affinity for cosy cottages and all things Harry Potter :) Thank you, both!
Hey, it is indescribable how happy I am about each of your videos .... I usually watch them 2-3 times ... or more. As you know: Fan mode 😉💞 There are lots of jewels on your bookshelves. I definitely want to read some of them. Thank you for reminding me of it. Oh how much I liked the end of the video, the music and the fantastic view / flight through the clouds. Wonderful 🎊🥰 Greetings Steffi
Hi, Steffi!! Thank you sooo much for your continued support! I so appreciate all of your comments and am really glad you enjoy my videos so much 💛 I loved An Enchantment of Ravens!! I'm not sure which fantasy I will read next, but I hope it's at least as good! I hope you and your family are doing well 🤗
@@MorganLongYou're the best 💞 Your next fantasy read could be ... My idea would be that of Maggie Stiefvater - The Raven cycle (4 part book series). My absolute favorite series for life. I have them as German and English editions, but I also really like the Cruel Prince series by Holly black. Or I really liked The last Namsara by Kristen Ciccarelli. Unfortunately, volume 3 was not translated into German. Your Steffi 🦋🏵
Morgan, I was first thinking: How can you sleep at night without the other Harry Potter books, but then I saw the rest of them in your other shelves. :D I would love to see a "If you liked X book, you might like Y book".
Hahaha, I simply could not live without having at least 2 copies of each Harry Potter book!! I'm actually still quite nervous sharing opinions about books on my channel. I'm working my way there though and when I do, I'll gladly do a "if, then" recommendations video :)
Yup, this is officially my favorite video of yours. So peaceful & just made me so happy. 💛 Also, your copy of Little Women! I’m obsessed with the cover! I need to find it :)
Hi Morgan!! I discovered you this year and I love a lot of the books you/we've read, but I just finished 'Wildwood'.... it was terrible!! It's so boring with it's cut-out characters, pointless dialogue, and lots of filler. Even if this book were 1/4 the size, it would still be bad, mostly because we don't care about the characters at all. I wanted to bruise more than just Prue's rib. There's no reason for her and Curtis to be friends, who is also a dry, cut-out boy who's only interesting trait is curly hair. And what parent simply sacrifices a child?! Oh well, we have our daughter... too bad for Mac. I suffered through this book hoping it might get better... it didn't. Anyway, I totally love your channel; you inspire so many of us. Believe in yourself, oh wondrous you!
This was a great tour of your bookshelf ... I just found your channel last week and have been enjoying your videos very much, they are beautiful ... After watching this "book tour" I was struck by how similar your reading materials jibe with Ruby Granger ... Both of you have inspired me to read a book per week challenge for 2021. Thank you!! This will be a HUGE undertaking for me, but considering I am retired, I think perfectly doable.
Beautifully shot, obviously 🙂 are these all books you've read, or are some your TBR? I love Big Magic by Liz Gilbert so much ❤️ I spotted several interesting new titles and I added touch the top of the world to my wishlist 🙂
Have you read The Tennant of Wildfell Hall by Anne Bronte? It's my all time favourite! The essay at the beginning and highlights how incredibly brave she was to right it,
Your bookshelves look amazing! I also have a few more books on my TBR list, Wildwood sounds right up my ally :D Portland is somewhere I think I would like to visit one day, but it is so far from here! I also really enjoy the way you film and edit, your videos are so calm and gentle, it makes me want to make videos too but I wouldn't know where to start... for now I will enjoy yours and gain inspiration ^_^
Thank you so much! I do hope you enjoy Wildwood and that maybe someday you get to visit Portland! For me at first, the book was simply a fun children's literature realistic fantasy BUT THEN I realized the Wildwood does exist AND in exploring it, I found that Pittock mansion is real and so is the road the mail truck drives on AND the green bridge Prue crosses, ivy really is trying to take over the forest and kill all of the trees...also there are bandits etc. etc. (these references will make sense if you do decide to read it). BIG hugs! Keep being inspired by life :)
Loved how you've organised your shelves, it's very original! Neat and minimalistic yet with a perfect touch of personality with those trinkets and, of course, loved that your books are organised by colour (I do mine that way too!) 📚👏😍
Wow, what a lovely description!! Neat, minimalists, personality, trinkets, color, etc. Suddenly my shelves are ever so much more precious to me! Thank you 🤗
Happy to see a new video 😁! Nice variety of reads ...I have some of the same ones. Have you read All the Light We Cannot See yet? I have had it on my shelf for a while but feel like it will break my heart.
I am so excited for this! Lovely video as always. I loved the way you use books as part of your home decor. foot note: As for how we pronounce Harry Potter in Spanish, since it's in English it sounds the same, we don't take the H out. But if you really want to translate, Harry in Spanish would be Enrique. We don't translate names of book characters but for example on some tv news when we speak of British monarchy they translate Prince William to Principe Guillermo, Duchess Kate to Duquesa Catalina or Prince Harry to Principe Enrique.
How fascinating!! Something that has always baffled me is why we have our own names for each Country. It makes more sense to me to call the Country by its native name. I think it's fun to change personal names though. Morgan doesn't change in Spanish (maybe Morgana sometimes), but I'd feel very cool if I went from Kate to Catalina 💃🏼 Thank you always for your comments, Irene! Abrazos 🤗
@@MorganLong I get what you say, sometimes we trend to topicalize things in our favor to make it easier. Yes, Morgan doesn't change in Spanish. Here in Mexico I have never heard Morgana hahah, you would be Morgan, which I already think it's a unique name. Irene doesn't change in English either, I think if it did it would be Erin. Thank you for always responding my comments, eres de mis you tubers favoritas
@Morgan Long Hi!! I love your videos sososo much and I was so sad since Covid-19 shut everything down and now apparently Oregon til July 6th that I cant go to my favorite store , Powells in Cedar Hills...my dad was going to take me to the Portland Powells city of books but yknow..it's closed. Sorry if this is random I just saw you also have been to the Portland Powells and I love your video for it.. Just wanted to let you know your amazing and hope your doing well and staying safe during quarantine!!!
Hi, Rebekah!! I love the Cedar Hills Powells! I really hope it opens when this is all over. I've just ordered some books from the Powell's website but it simply isn't the same as being there in person! Thank you for your kind words, friend 🤗
I love this 💛 I'm also a bookworm! We kinda have similar tastes which is amazing :) the goldfinch is one of my all time favorite! And I agree with HP6 being the best book on the series. Such a great one 💛
It seems we are similar indeed! Thank you for watching 💛

Querida lectora!
What a lovely bookshelf tour! 📚 I also love Elizabeth Gilbert, really want to read "City of Girls" next. And I mean, you should get Patreon! Your content is amazing and would love to support you.
thank you so much, Anna! I also want to read City of Girls-- Liz Gilbert has yet to fail me! I'm actually making a Patreon RIGHT now and I'm sooo excited because I've always wanted to do this and recently many people have encouraged me to. So thank you so very much for your suggestion-- it means so much to me that you'd love to support me 🤗
I love your bookshelves so much! Not only the arrangement, but the books you own. We have so many of the same favorites :D I still got a lot of inspiration from your video for books to read next, though. Yay!
Hace unos meses leí 'Los habitantes del bosque' ('The Woodlanders') y me dejó destrozadita.
Qué maravilloso :) No puedo pronunciar "rr".
I've watched several of your videos now and they're always so calming and beautifully edited. I also practice my language skills by reading Harry Potter in the language I'm studying! It's so helpful to know the subject matter beforehand. Wait, I had no idea that Wildwood was written by the lead singer of the Decemberists. I've heard positive things aboutthis book and actually just picked up a copy from the little free library near my house.
Reading a favorite book in a second language is like recognizing an old friend from afar in an unfamiliar place after not seeing them in a long time. I get sooo excited as each chapter in new to me yet so familiar! I really hope you enjoy Wildwood! At first, the book was simply a fun children's realistic fantasy story, BUT THEN I realized the Wildwood does actually exist. AND when I explored it, I found that Pittock mansion is real and so is the road the mail truck drives on AND the green bridge Prue crosses...also there are bandits etc. etc. (these references will make sense when you read it). Happy reading, Leah Jane ✨
Hi, Morgan, thank you for sharing, my book shelves have a lot of HP, too, in different languages (we are obsessed with learning languages), but I noticed: Spanish is missing!! Although 2 of my siblings are half Spanish and I took some Spanish lessons loooong time ago. A project in May... Also Jen Sincero sounds interesting...and a lot of others. I’m mostly in international children books and biographies. Your book shelves are looking so thoughtful and cozy...an inspiration for me, to work on mine☺️... I prefer reading🤷♀️. Stay happy and healthy, love from Germany, Monika❣️
Hi, Monika! I love learning a new language and really really enjoy being amazed by other cultures. It's so refreshing to be reminded that our way isn't the only way :) Children's books and biographies/memoirs are my favorite genres as well! Happy reading and hugs from the States 📚💛
By the way, I hope one day you will do a video about your English Lit degree! Do you currently write? Take care, and thank you for your wonderful bright videos!
That's a great idea!! I will make a note and see what comes of it :) Actually, I have been writing! And I'm currently editing a video that introduces it for the first time. We will also wait and see what comes of it ✨
So Beautiful & Inspiring ~ I loved every minute of it 💗 Thank you for the book recommandations and so thrilled to share the same favorite HaRrY pOtTeR book ☺️🤩🤓
Oh this is lovely! Especially the blue books that look iridescent, stacked together and the other books are a soothing palette of colors and thank you for the cloud ending and the inspiring message.
this video is so cute! i finally get to watch your videos after a long time of being inactive. i really hope you and Landon are both doing well, take care and be safe!!
Thank you so much!! I really like your username-- it reminds me of the quote, "Though she be but little she is fierce" from A Midsummer Night's Dream 🌿✨
Your outer appearance radiates your soul. You’re so positive and bright and welcoming and your skin glows and is so smooth and bright. Lol that sounds so weird but I couldn’t help but notice !
