Mojo should do the same thing but use some random guy like me to go around and spend the whole day at a show trading up with dealers he’s never dealt with before. That could actually be a whole documentary lol
It can be done to some degree but you gotta find a better card under the money. Like starting with a hundred buck turning it to 500 is more realistic then 1 dollar into 100
Dealers to you: oh yeah we can trade down in value Dealers to me: 60 dollar card huh well I have a brian Calhoun rookie I can trade and I'm taking all the risk here
Exactly I always down trade or sell when I go to get better valuable cards I try to sell up like I'll say 400 on my collection and the person hits at 250 so I screw myself up an take it I go to trade I definitely downgrade on what I trade to everytime
Loved the idea of the video, would be so much better if you go incognito next time. Being a great RU-vidr plus telling the dealers about the challenge definitely gives a leg up in trades.
Before anyone gets mad, I feel like Mojo is literally just trolling for content 😂 Regardless, it was def a weird video for someone so established in the Hobby to make. He knows damn well no average person would get a yes from any of these guys doing the same thing 🤷♂️ but in the end, I know there’s gonna be those “it’s not that deep” guys in the comments, so I guess it’s not that deep
Comments are on point. Can't tell ppl you're doing it. Duh. The real challenge for you is starting with a $1000 card, because ppl aren't going to play games.
This is an enrollment game. Perfect example! You don’t have to use sports cards but it is a great exercise. If I am bored at a show, I will definitely do it
So fake.. who sells platinum Bryce harper rookie bowman for dollar... minimum that's a 60 dollar raw card!!! Please be realistic with video 📹 there are real investors/ collectors that watch and u are confusing the market with your TV scripts!
This isn't real, lol. It was amusing, though. I tried doing the same thing one time starting with $5 at a show and was able to legit make a $50 profit.
This would be a fun video series if you found a random at shows willing to mic up, and record video from a distance, and see what it would actually be like for a random without all the connections! Make it a challenge series to see which random contestant can make it the farthest in a set period of time or something!
Would be interesting to see how it works without telling dealers your goal, having the camera out and being a known RU-vidr. Not sure what the Harper goes for but how many people have $1 cards in their cases.
The first trade, the dude handed you a card with $2 written on it and said, "This would be a dollar". Um, this whole thing stinks. The second trade, to a card that has $5 on it. This has to be blatantly fake. NO WAY is any sleazy card seller going to just trade a random crappy $2 card for over 500% value ~$10card
If I am being honest with you, you should do the challenge and not record it. Tell us what happens after because the second they know you are a youtuber, they will give you a good deal because it markets them well. Connections are everything in business.
Im a fan from the philippines. Been watching most of your videos though i havent seen some brandon ingram from your sets and transactions. Im a huge fan of him(b.I) as well. Keep rockin.
Yeah Do it with random people who don’t know you instead of your friends and buddies who are vendors at the same shows you have been apart of for a long time and have friendships with them … lmao
Man I wish but everyone already know that a true entrepreneur of buying n selling n trading type of dealers won't ever trade more they always try n trade the less value cards
@@mojo_sports it wasn't the worse I promise but I just haven't (well in real everyday life) saw any one that sells or trades any sport cards just knowingly devalue in any kind of trade unless otherwise the said dealer just doesn't know at all what he is trading with and this person of knowing values will usually like said in the video try to hype the trade that he has up a million to one but if I may say so you have actually done a great job whether it's fiction or non fiction I will still watch because there isn't any kinda sport card shops in my little town which I would do almost anything if there could be (only at the weekend warriors fleamarts) but thanks for actually placing your videos on here so we can enjoy thanks a billion.
id you had started with a $3 card you found for $1 it would make it more realistic. this isn't a fair representation of what someone would actually do. anyway, I enjoy your content and love seeing the growth you have had in cards and yt.
Looked like you had fun so that cool. But.. not really an accurate representation when some of the people you hit up are buddies that obviously hooked you up...
Don’t doubt the guy he’s well known in the community the whole point of the hobby is to build connections the more you have the better your deals will be I’ve done this plenty of times no one knows me but I worked my way up to a Josh Allen auto make friends make FAIR trades do your research and the deals will come trust nice video mojo 👍🏼
That was a wild ride man! That’s pretty impressive. And for everyone saying “friends are helping him out…”. Maybe consider being friendly at these card shows, turn on the charm and try getting them to entertain your trade offers. You never know unless you try. Great Job Bud! 👍🏼
