@@tek3576 I've been playing the demo and in one level, theirs a acounterpart to the las vegas sphere and for a moment, the smiling friends logo pops up on occassion
I don't have much money to support game kickstarter, but I hope this game will raise a lot of money, cus TALLGLASS trying to make a REALLY cool platformer game with funny puzzle elements ! (And with BOMs)
After only 2 days of live Kickstarter campaign it's already reached 2/5th of its goal and there's still 28 days left. The devs will easily achieve their goal and maybe hopefully a lot of their stretch goals too.
The voiceline for the wizard at 0:30 REALLY gives me the vibe of those arcade games in the “cockpit” genre (the games that have you in a seat shooting things [i.e, luigi’s mansion arcade]). It’s mainly the quality of the voiceline. It just feels straight out of those types of games and, quite frankly, tickles my brain the best way possible. Its even better with headphones, too.
Undertale made people look back at the Mother Series and go "yo, pixel art games can be beautiful and emotional" while Pizza Tower made people look back at Wario Land and go "yo, pixel art games can be silly and unhinged" lmao
OH WOW, the amount of creativity and inspiration feels strong in this trailer, like the line on 0:19 "that's wicked" told me a lot of Buster personality because seeing in the page where the inspiration came from ed, edd and eddy made a lot of sense spiritualy. playing newgrounds games over the years, this just hit me right in the emotion, really like the game talking about itself in a trailer
Idk if Pizza Tower was the inspiration, but I always freaking loved the fluid when I saw this game long time ago, really hope it does well on kickstarter
I see a lot of people calling this a "Pizza Tower-Like" game. Sure, it shares a similar art style, but man it's really annoying to see the developers get this comparison all the time like it was their main source of inspiration. The only thing remotely comparable is that they both have a wacky hand drawn art style. Pizza Tower didn't invent that though. And the gameplay is nothing like Wario Land. Please people, if you're going to make comparisons, make sure they make sense, otherwise you create this stigma that its a game that rides off the all of the successes that Pizza Tower has.
for some reason when i saw the gameplay i got reminded of that one really old game where you knock burger ingredients down off of ladders and stuff into burgers to complete it
Played the new demo, and dang, the game is so much more balanced. Easily the most important change is the slide, so you can kill enemies while holding bombs. In the last demo it was always annoying when you had to avoid an enemy or attempt to kill an enemy then lose a heart due to dropping your bombs (which was a perfect stack of 5, and now its gone.) The backflip is now more utilzed due to the jumps being lower, and the fixed dropping of bombs, enemies and items make the game more like an actual arcade game where you can memorize the levels and master them. The new music fking slaps, and the boss is much more fun and fleshed out. This will be a modern classic, just like AntonBall, AntonBlast, and Pizza Tower.
I've already played the demo, and this trailer nails what it need to show about the game but fails (in a good way) to show the ABSOLUTE BLAST you can experience on a more fast paced game-style, hooly shit like, for example, the music, man. The fricking rooftop theme. ABSOLUTE BANGER, the boss was nice but funny as hell. Try playing the game gathering all the collectibles and you'll get the real experience. The combos you can do, the almost unlimited moovement that doesn't seem to be in the trailer but you'll later find out. Please consider giving it a play, i still want to talk about the music but damn i just have that banger in my playlist. tall glass team, one I've never even knew until recent months DEFINITELY COOKED with this one.
No this is basically if you merged cuphead and pizza towers artstyle, Mario Bros (the sewers one) and Antonball gameplay, Sonic rush and jet set radio music, and add a bit of ANTONBLAST to everything
Whelp, you done and did it. Not only did you make a kickstarter I'm more than excited to back, but you added an Pin reward which is my motivation to back some kickstarters.
This is like a strangely interesting mashup of Pizza Tower, early-DS-era Mario minigames, Hideki Naganuma samples and small tidbits of Smiling Friends' artstyle and I don't know whether to feel overstimulated or intrigued. Also, nice dancing letter gif reference at 0:46.
@@haydenbush8518 wasnt confirmed from what ive checked but theres more similarities both have bombs falling from the sky and both are single screen puzzle platformers where its the character is the one that manipulates bombs instead of direct commands
With the success of pizza tower that image of “popular indie game announced, it’s one of these three games” changes from a post by the grumpiest guy ever to a telling of the future
@@haydenbush8518 I guess its more apparent with games like pizza tower and Anton blast, and since those games are based on old Wario games, I get the sam feeling towards this.
People are saying this is pizza tower and anton, but you know what this reminds me of? That minigame from new super mario bros and mario 64 DS, the one where you sort bobombs eheheh
oh this is good, reminds me of some old Pop-cap games where the main game is a square area while information's are on their own rectangular boxes, nice
wow this game is like if someone combined pizza tower and pizza tower, and then threw in a little bit of pizza tower! people who liked pizza tower are sure to love this.
I’m glad the gameplay is overall pretty different from pizza tower and warioland. It may have a similar zany artstyle, but I don’t think anyone should gatekeep a graphical style. Looks like it could use some polish but hey, it’s on kickstarter so hopefully it’ll get it
