i miss the good old days back in 2013 where it'd be a saturday afternoon and 7 year old me would chill on the floor eating oreos and watching some boomerang
The new Boomerang doesn’t have any charm or creativity to it. It literally uses Cartoon Network’s style of design and cartoon making. Plus, the new Boomerang is just extremely generic. It seriously doesn’t even try to be unique.
TechMasterJason Seriously! My favorite cartoons growing up were Tom and Jerry and the classic Scooby Doo. I feel lucky that I got to watch both modern and classic cartoons at such a young age.
Right? As a kid born in 2001 I agree this is the MOST 2000s thing in existence. I know because I VIVIDLY recall each and EVERY one of these bumpers from seeing them on TV in between the classic cartoons that these would play in between
1994 I think it might be Michael Kohler because he's been composing music for Cartoon Network for over twenty years by now. High chances it might be him
I'm so glad these are preserved on RU-vid. I remember literally every single one of these. I watched Boomerang and Cartoon Network almost exclusively growing up. The nostalgia hit me real hard and I cried watching this lol Thanks for uploading this
bro i remember this to the point i can make the sound effects that come with it💯😂😂🤣 and if you listen sometimes the sound effects is part of the beat. especially 2:13 the lunch box slam. GOATED💯
Just imagine sitting there at night watching boomerang as a kid waiting for power puff girls , johnny brovo or Tom and jerry and you come across these bumpers every time. I just love them :_)
I used to fall asleep to boomerang with like scooby doo and shit and I always love the commercials the fucking nostalgia hit hard here I cried when i first clicked this video cause I just felt the past come back from when I was a little kid 😢😢😢🤧
LogisticKarma - Every time the commercial airs on cartoon network, I get so mad, like I don't give a fuck about the new boomerang, should it really be considered boomerang now a days? Should've rebranded the name while they were at it cuz it's got cartoon network's 2014 feel to it these days, GOD!!!!!!
I would always watch Boomerang at night, many years ago. I'd watch it and end up falling asleep. I miss the old Boomerang, it was in its prime and now it's kinda ruined. :(
Mario omg yes i loved the intros as a 3 year old in 2008 me and my family had good laughs until they had to fucked up boomerang, me and my family lost our bond =^=
Shiz Oh Network idk why they switched it up. This channel was supposed to be about old classic cartoons. I dont see any old classic cartoons except tom and jerry and looney tunes but that's all. Just bringing back new shows on the network and im sure people wont find it pleasing to see about all of their cartoons gone. Boomerang has really went downhill. You can't bring old episodes and shows that came on last year or year before that on a network That's about old awesome shows. That's not what boomerang is about. It's about reliving the classics. I have failed to believe that boomerang will be better.
It brought me joy seeing all these bumpers on TV as a child, but revisiting these little interstitial clips after all these years gives me the opportunity to see these from an adult perspective - the kitschy vintage toys, the groovy music, and how it all connects to bring the viewers (especially the young ones) delight, and seeing that the network knew their audience when they made these bumpers. I wish I could go back in time, even if just once, and relive the great days of my childhood ❤️
sigh* I know there's people out there , But does anyone remember watching these as the age of 7 or 8 years old watching top cat, Flintstones ,Pink panther or Tom and Jerry 😢
Doctor Crazy 13 Me and my mom watched pink panther together it was my most favorite show here to watch with her. And also at night teen Titans would go on
I remembered getting extremely frustrated whenever these things popped up. "Trying to watch Teen Titans here, buddy! Come on!" Now the throwback hits me like a Dragon Fist to the nuts.

crisdebo0723 in 2011 I remember finding Powerpuff Girls one night and I found boomerang and I fell in love with it and when I found out they played Ben 10 after school I always ran home to catch it after Pre-K (yes my preschool was in an elementary school and I rode the bus) with some fruit snacks and some apple juice i miss those times
I discovered boomerang when I was 3, one of my parents turned it on and I sat there and watched it and then I couldn’t find the channel for years until 2017
I still don't understand why they changed all of these bumbers and the logo, and put it i n a more modern style. I always thought of boomerang as an old channel with retro cartoons, but now that they're trying to fit in,I don't think of them like that anymore.
I was half asleep last night watching Boomerang and then noticed they're using some little kid and new graphics as bumpers now.............. What the hell!? What could have possibly possessed them into changing the amazing bumpers they've used since I was a little kid!? :/ It breaks my heart. lol I already feel like the channel is worse with their schedule change but now this?
Edward Elric Boomerang is practically dead at this point, They show the same couple shows everyday. They don't even play the good old shows anymore 😢😢 My childhood is pretty much gone at this point.
Yeah what possessed boomerang to change like that it really pisses me off and the do show old show but really late in the evening like teen nick basically boomerang and Nickelodeon are dead
The old Boomerang used to be my childhood. So this is really nostalgic to me. Even though I thought these bumpers were weird or even a little scary as a child, they really were my childhood
As a kid, I knew that the theme used in 3:04 sounded really familiar but didn't know why. Well today I was setting up my work calendar for my team at my office desk and was listening to a random recommended RU-vid playlist and the song "Don't Walk Away" by Jade started playing and instantly reminded me of this theme. It isn't exactly the same but the beat is pretty similar. I hope I helped someone else with this!
It's the famous "Jungle Jazz" breakbeat. The drums are from the intro of Kool and the Gang's "Jungle Jazz", the B-side of their funk hit "Jungle Boogie", love the song btw. It's one of the most sampled breaks ever.
It's sad this was childhood and now its gone to shit. It's just shitty newer cartoon network shows (like 2012 new) a certain old ones they don't even show classics like Pink Panter or Tom Cat. I wish they would show great shows like Samurai Jack and The Jetsons. It hurts my heart that other generations outside of mine and the the two after that won't understand what good cartoons are
I miss the old Boomerang, the new one isn't nearly as good. They show too many modern shows like Teen Titans Go! I though it was meant for classic cartoons. At least they still show Tom and Jerry on a daily basis.
Yeah I know what you mean. I watch The Flintstones when I'm staying up late. I wish they could play more classics like you said like Yogi Bear, MGM, Hokey Wolf, The Jetsons, and some classic 2000's cartoons like My Gym Partner's a Monkey, The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack, Squirrel Boy, Camp Lazlo, Krypto the Superdog, Duck Dodgers, etc. They even stopped showing Dexter's Lab and Powerpuff Girls, those are overqualified to play on Boomerang, but at least they still show Chowder, which I love.
I used to watch this channel a lot more than the regular cartoon network, especially at night. I remember that there was this subway inside a Walmart that always played this channel and I used to watch it whenever I was nearby at the moment. 😅
I remember the first time i ever saw boomerang I was on vacation And I went to bed with the tv on, and really late at night I woke up seeing one of those bumpers then the show the Banana Splits came on and It scared me so much but i grew to love that channel and the bumpers give me nostalgia I miss the old boomerang :(
2008 Grandma: don't stay up to late you guys My grandpa: don't worry it's not like Hitler will bomb us again Grandma: okay fine goodnight Grandpa: you wanna watch Tom and Jerry? Me: why waste your asking questions Pops.
Okay guys, I'm trying to get boomerangs phone number so I can ask them to change the channel back to the way it was with all these beautiful bumpers. I really hope that I can get it soon and I've called almost every cartoon network that I found and asked them for the number, claiming they don't have it.
*smiling so hard right now* I remember ALL of these and I was born mid-90s!!! Bless my dad for making this the major part of my childhood television programs!
Seeing each of these as a kid makes me happy. It brings so much memories back. Like laying down in your bed with some cereal, staring at this on your cube of a TV.
This actually makes me cry... the TV service at my house as a kid didn't have Boomerang, but my grandparents' house did, so whenever I visited I would watch it a lot... My grandpa has cancer now and they're not sure what will happen to him... Watching this video reminds me of being a kid sitting in the living room before I had all the stress of high school, eating the chicken nuggets my grandma always made for me... their cats would always be excited to see me and would sit on my lap... I would play on my DS or on their old computer that still had dial up internet in the mid 2000s... I never had anything to worry about there. Now I'm always thinking about my grades and APs, and I'm really worried about my grandpa... not even the old Boomerang is still there... my life really has changed. I miss the good old days.
Man, does this bring me pride and joy. I missed seeing these everytime I watched boomerang. I was confused as to why they changed the style, and frankly, I hated not being able to watch all the old shows anymore.
I used to stay up late at night and just have Boomerang on in the background while I surfed Newgrounds or played Pinball on the family computer. Good times.
My favorites💕 I miss those Hanna Barbera cartoons - you can't hardly find them anywhere anymore. I loved them when I was little. I used to stay up till midnight to watch Hong Kong Phooey. I checked the channel for the first time in years and was disappointed to see that they only play Tom & Jerry, Scooby Doo, and Looney Toons. Oh well. Things change I guess, huh?
oh my god I remember these! but I also vaguely remember bumpers or shorts of people in animal costumes in like a carnival or theme park. if any body remembers please reply!
Kids from the 2000s and early 2010s find this very nostalgic. I remember watching Boomerang in the mornings while i was waiting for the school bus. I was just starting Preschool and my parents started letting me watch Channels like Boomerang, CartoonNetwork, DisneyXD, and Nickelodeon. I watched more Boomerang and CartoonNetwork tho.
Man, I never realized how much of a fever dream Boomerang promos, bumpers, and commercials were. *sigh* But what lovely fever dreams they were. *breaks down crying hysterically*
Not gladys - Yeah like WTF, uncle Grandpa is being put on Boomerang, as well as the wizard of oz series, like WTF, this isn't boomerang anymore, this is a whole new different channel or Cartoon network 2.0 basically.
You'll all be happy to know that in recent months Boomerang has drastically improved it's channel lineup; it's starting to show all the classic retro cartoons for baby boomers and generation X: shows like POPEYE THE SAILOR, WACKY RACES, THE YOGI BEAR SHOW, TOP CAT, THE FLINSTONES, even JABBERJAW. This is great!! Apparently someone at Boomerang has gotten the message, "older people want the classic cartoon back." But I'm wondering how long this fun will last? Will it only be temporary or permanent? Let's hope for the latter
Honestly this was childhood. I remember asking my mom for a big bowl of cereal when it was like 2:00 AM and boomerang came on. I watched all the good shows including Tom and jerry. These we're the best bumpers but now they have some stupid modern powerpuff girls, Garfield, tom and jerry, scooby doo. It just ruins my childhood and breaks my heart to see these new bumpers. I remember always watching it until I fall asleep and then I'll wake up in the morning and the show was still on. I'm just broken right now.
***** Im still kid andi love the old cartoons like the flinstones and the jetsons, smurfs, dennis the menace (cartoon) and yogi bear. I love those cartoons and the new cartoons are sorta stupid. I grew up watching a lot of reruns on CN.
