@@theNnerLimit But he always plays with the Pact time limit, and he also wants to actually think about his choices, especially in specialized runs like this one where he's aiming to super-maximize one specific stat. Also he sometimes gets actual IGT WRs on his runs, and pausing can make all the difference there... I think it makes a lot of sense to pause often, I got used to it because I'm paying attention to what he's saying. (Also you replied to someone else, not him, so he wasn't gonna see it anyway.)
Yeah, Achilles might work better for regular encounters, but Poseidon is so much better against bosses. You don't have to wait around for your bloodstones to dislodge.
There must be some logic built in to Random Target Poms that tries to avoid the higher level ones. So when you only have a single, high level Pom, it goes through so many loops trying to pick ANYTHING else that you get that weird lag at the end of a room.
Loops dont need to calculate with only 1 boon. It's pretty much instant unless they're doing some stupid things behind the scenes (which would be even worse with multiple boons)
Even with multiple boons, maximum you’d only have to do a simple sort on the boons and then assign weights, so there shouldn’t be enough loops to cause lag. I guess they might have missed an edge case?
Yeah this doesn't seem like the kind of thing that would normally happen even in an edge case. If the selection code really does run way longer on single high-level boons for some reason, iterating through variables like that should still take almost no processing power compared to the power required to actually render the game. (I think rendering issues are what usually cause lag, you'd need a really really complex/clunky algorithm to even approach that.)

LULZ. Awesome. Can you imagine a Level 50 dio or aprho cast (which started epic tier) on beowulf? I can see that getting 5,000+ damage per loaded cast hit. And any extra casts and/or cast damage from chaos plus prometheus stones would just make it crazier. But daaaaa fissshhhhhhh doeeeee!

Very crazy video, the luck involved, getting that Duo boon so early and just all the poms involved. Saw a bunch of stuff in the game that I'll probably never see on my own. Gotten past the credits but haven't even unlocked the companion keepsake thing, all the bosses changed, Hades having 3 stages, cool to know that stuffs there.
Now I want you to try to get the WR for most Cast ammo! The most I got is 8 (3 basic, 2 Chaos , 2 Artemis Legendary and 1 Item) but I'm sure Damp Daddy would do better
I think he got 7 with Stygian recently(?) which is slightly more impressive since he started with 1. Just got super lucky with wells mostly, although Chaos and Artemis helped. Really funny moment at the end with exit wounds and poseidon aspect.

I got a red crush shot one run, and it was completely insane. I had all reds at the end, but what really tied it up is that I got the Hermes boon flurry cast... purple rarity... with crush shot. it was over at that point
36:00 Yeah, my game lags so hard when I enter this area. It used to lag so hard when entering areas, but eventually my PC got used to it the more I entered them. Except for the Surface. Straight up playing the game in HADES fight with 37-50 fps and all over the place. Literally gotta drop my resolution down a bit. And like 30 fps when I'm walking past the sunrise cliff. It fixes itself when I get to Persephone This only started from the recent update a few days ago, unfortunately. Which was still annoying before, but even worse now. But the cinematic panning from viewing Taurtaris and Asphodel and especially Elysium has been patched. No longer dropping to 40 fps when looking out. Especially in Elysium when I'm fishing by Charon..
Did anyone else notice that at 34:45, when he entered the room, the sawblades trap activated, then the mom pom message popped up, and then the trap never activated again? aren't those things supposed to spit blades over and over again? Did the delayed message cause a problem with their activation?
You know how the developers had to think of dialogue for certain situations like when you beat Hades on the first run? What max boon level do you think they had to code in just in case someone actually did all Poms?
They even made a special text for when you use a greater call when fighting them in a double boon room Like Dianysis said something like “You serious?”

Just a question from a noob. Why is Haelian doing a 15 heat run when hes done 40+ heat runs previously? Why not just do a 0 heat run instead and not get the added punishment/ pressure? Is there any added bonus for doing specific heats?
Each 5 heat interval give access to a new floor's Erebus gates. These gates give "big" sized rewards including big poms. So 15 is the minimum to have access to Elysium's gates. Also it's fun :)
I don't think this is a factor for Haelian, but turning off em4, forced overtime, and benefits package now that I'm used to them just makes me play super sloppy. It takes me too long to get used to them again after even a few runs without them.

Poisedon and Athena both both have 2 non pom-able boons because iron skin, and sure footing, for Athena and poised has sunken treasure and oceans bounty

it's hard to do this on poseidon because of knock back. That's why he didn't get the poseidon dash in asphodel. You need to land your special immediately to get the casts
The damage added from Hoarding Slash doesn't get multiplied from crit or any other bonuses I'm afraid, it's always tacked on last. Ex. you deal 100 damage per attack, if you crit, you deal 300. If you pick up Hoarding Slash and have 1000 gold, you'd be dealing 150 per swing or 350 per crit (5% of 1000 is 50). Rough numbers but I hope that makes sense.
Only a few seconds in and I'm already like "(facepalm) Of COURSE! Why didn't I think about using fated authority? that's so much better for getting Pom levels!" I immediately did a run with that instead of persuasion, and was able to TRAMPLE my previous PB of 33 with a whopping 43! I just have to thank you for opening my eyes to the far better option.
Not 100%, but I think it was just the best option from the starting batch. That and you need something from Aphrodite and Poseidon to get Sweet Nectar Duo of course.
late but wish this could be tried with something that scales better (like some dionisus hangover, or artemis support fire or pressure points, if...this is right to say?) but that wouldn't work out I suppose just not the requirements to get those
Insane amount of luck, or, there are mods that let you choose your chambers. That insane lag on that door in Styx, maybe a mod conflict, or just the mom blossom playing catch-up?
He needed a second Hermes in order to prevent him from appearing on a door in Styx. He sold the first Hermes boon so that he wouldn't have 2 Hermes boon diluting the purging well if he was forced to take a pommable boon.
