Can you do a video on your trailer system? I am trying to figure out the best system for me. I see that you are using the foldable harbor freight but with also bunks. Is your trailer still foldable with the bunks installed?? I really want to be able to put the trailer away when the kayak is not in use "wife's request". Thanks and love the videos.
+gettinrings thank you very much. I truly enjoy it. Kayak fishing is so much fun. And having a Hobie makes it so easy to do so much more efficient keeping your hands free off the paddle. Thanks for watching.
I like the monopod and the PA setup. I also have one with the beginnings of how you are rigged. I made my final Landing Gear decision on your video. It's installed and works great. My question is: Where did you purchase the T bolts for the mono pod? Looking forward to watching more videos.
thanks for watching!!! i have had a blast setting up my PA. congrats on yours. Glad i could help with the landing gear, i love it. so easy to use. the T bolts are for mounting toilets to the floor. here is a link to some, but just go to home depot or any big box hardware store and you can find them. again thanks for watching, please let me know if you have any other questions.
Did you purchase the high rail lifter kit for your ProAngler? "Pre 2015 Hobie Pro Angler kayaks require the "H-Rail Lifter" kit to lift and space the H-Rail to accommodate the Landing Gear LG Pro Kit directly behind the seat. The H-Rail Lifter includes 2 powder coated aluminum spacers along with (2) 5/16-18 stainless steel bolts."
+Bruce f no I did not purchase that kit. I have a 2016 not sure if it was needed on the others but for mine I did not need it. Thanks for watching. If you have any other questions please let me know.
+manny Thank you!!! I have had no issues with warping, the Hobie has a tri-hull design that cradles the pipes on the trailer it sits on. it stays on the trailer all the time when I am not fishing and have not had an issue yet. I know you said before you had a bad back, the kayak sides very easy on the pipes also. so loading and unloading is easy. Please let me know if you have any other questions. Thanks for watching!!! Sorry for some reason I cant reply to your comments directly, so I had to reply this way. I believe it is a setting in you RU-vid account
+Zach Moore I absolutely love the Power pole. I know it's a crazy a lot of money at all in being around $1100 with mounting plate for a Hobie. All just for an anchor. But I swear it makes it so much easier to fish the skinny. I mainly fish skinny. I also bought a YakAttack ParkNPole Stakeout Pole - 8 ft. It adds another 90 bucks to the equation but also so worth it. I stick my anchor trolley to keep me straight if current or wind tries to turn me once I drop the power pole. I would definitely make that purchase again. And I highly recommend. Thanks again for watching.
Though the doondox is convenient I don't think I wanna fork out 300 just for new landing gears... my hobie cart still works fine until the price go below 200 I'll think about it
+Hgghgg Ggjhgg yes I do believe it is a lot to drop for the landing gear. But for me it is definitely worth the price. When I have so much gear in the pa14 and my rods and my will tackle everywhere just sitting on top of my kayak. I don't want to unload everything at the boat ramp when I have 30 boat waiting to get in. All I have to do is drop down the wheels and I'm done. The problem with the Hobie system as you have to tip it completely on its side so I literally have to pull everything off and it takes me five minutes I'm moving everything off just to stick the wheels and the tip back up on its wheels and then put everything back on so I can wheel it to my car. I'm not saying it's the best for everybody but I truly enjoy it and think it's worth the money for me. With that much I have invested in a kayak a few hundred bucks to make my life easier is definitely worth it. Thank you so much for watching the video have a great day
They sell the sand tire upgrade which has the sand tires and the longer stainless steel legs for additional $250. You also could get the complete kit with sand tires instead of the small tires like I have for $400. please let me know if you have any other questions. thanks for watching.
