This is an actual phone recording that took place on April 5, 2011. I was not able to get a real life person because of this.

all you had to do is press 0 for the operator

@Caren0314 They might have change their options recently. However, in order for me to finally get to a Customer Service Rep (which is why I jump through all the options in the first place), I have to look up the info via Net. If someone was to go though the same thing I went through and didn't know what I know, they are screwed.

I know this is a older video. But one thing that still pisses me off is the fact I still get "Peggy" from one of their overseas call centers. I never understand them.

@Caren0314 I did not select the wrong option. If you listen to the audio, you would know that I selected all the options I needed. They do have another option, which is you know what date you activate the phone. You need to get to a HUMAN tho. The point is of the video is that there's no fail safe.

"Report a lost or stolen phone." This is a point of the WHOLE video. At the time, it was impossible to report a lost/stolen phone because we're not able to get a human, who can verify OTHER information that the client has on their account. But it doesn't matter anymore. The account was taken care of days later, through the dealer, without any pin number whatsoever.

i had the same problem...i even purchased insurance, but when i called to put in a f--king claim, somehow, (with my claim # in hand) it mysteriously got dropped!!!! How did this happen when it was only a mere 5$ extra a month being automatically taken from my credit card. They actually told me I dropped it on a certain date! I was in shock since it took me two whole hours just to find out i have to buy a brand new phone, and reach a real human being too! jeesh!!!!

All late & what not. But the ONLY way to RETRIEVE a PIN # is to send it as a text message to the customers phone. Even if you talked to a HUMAN they would tell you the exact same thing. It is the customers responsibility to know this information. & if you were a sales rep you would of had a direct line to dealer support (:

@nukirk I am just saying, I recently worked as a customer representative for Boost and I tried the options myself since I heard this complained and I was able to navigate through it just fine, so I don't understand why others are not able to do so....

I'm really disappointed in boost mobile my moms purse was stolen off our porch and her phone was in there we called boost to report stolen and they asked her pin she couldn't remember her pin she has memory problems and she told them the situation and they told her there was nothing they can do about so the thieves get to use her services keep her phone and she cant even switch her number to a new cell phone does any one know away tto help us get the number switched my moms works hard for her money just to let take her and use her service its bullshit wont help I will never use there services again!

Found a work around online "888-266-7848 Talk to a Human Wait for the message to go to English. Press 5 then press 2, then press 4. Wait through all of the menu options, and then a few seconds longer until prompted to talk to a rep then press 0." Now after u've done this, on the next set of options, even if you have an account, press 2. If you press 1, it just gives you the run around again.

i had boost mobile and i started having to many problems with them so i stopped using their service and went back to my old phone company

Boost has sold me 2 defective phones that they won't refund to me, everything is true in this video, you go around and around with them and don't get anywhere. They owe me $ 94.00 that I will never see. I wish there was a class action lawsuit, there would be tens of thousands of plaintiffs...

Man if you lose your phone with boost its a loss they dont have insurance plans so you gotta buy another one thats why im not ever gonna be a customer

hahaha you must have selected the wrong option, its very simple, its very obvious that if the customer forgot their pin, how would the system know that, they are obviously going to txt it to the phone , hello the machine does not know the phone is lost!!!! hahahaha so dumb
