That is absolutely true. They do not teach you how to think like a computer programmer and distract you by advertising benefits of specific tools. The second point is remarkable because it will CONNECT you emotionally with the machine. Third point has an advantage. You won't waste your time on fancy things that can run on Windows. Instead, you'll have to seriously work to accomplish the task you want the computer do for you.
Going to start my Bachelors in Computer science. I'm incredibly grateful to Allah for leading me to this amazing channel at just the right time. Hats off to Sir Nauman for creating such incredible content! And also if you have any advice, do let me know. It would be a great pleasure to hear from seniors and fellow peers
@@recluze Thank you so much for the warm welcome! Luckily, diving into the 'How to Approach Learning' playlist is my first priority nowadays. I’ll definitely reach out if I have any questions. I really appreciate your help and am excited to learn more! Jazak Allah❤
@@recluze Assalam o Alaikum sir, could you recommend a book and share your advice on how to make the most of it? I know you prefer focusing on one book at a time and finishing it thoroughly, so which one would you suggest as the best option?
Same man, gave finals of my 4th sem, and now m gonna approach CS from scratch. You can connect with me if you want to, i'll share the details if you are interested.
Assalamualakim I learned HTML and CSS in accordance with your advice, but now I'm completely baffled because this video is old and a lot of progress in AI has been achieved in the last two years. I've listened to some podcasts and other similar content where practically everyone claims that because of these developments, only experienced and seasoned workers will remain. What are your thoughts on this? Does this video still applicable and has any relevance today? Also, as I am currently in my second semester of my BSCS, tell me if it is wise to choose ML or AI side by side or totally in this current environment to start to gain expertise in some field early on.
Assalamualaikum ! Sir I want to completely follow you throughout my BSCS journey . I have develop the mindset of problem solving & I am trying to learn touch typing but the 3rd one Linux OS. Unfortunately my laptop specification is not suitable for Linux & I can't afford another lap so I wanna ask is it better that I am & will be on my window ??
Sir I follow you Inshaa Allah Jab Mai University Mai jaon Ga jab 1st Semester Start hu ga Mai ap ko Or Ap ki Batai hui guidance ko Inshaa Allah Follow Karon Ga. Ab bus Admission Lynh ha Papers hu gyn han 12th k or result bi AUG k Last Week tk a Jy Ga. TO bus BSCS done & Follow Your advices. ★
Sir I am a BSSE student in FAST university. I have recently finished my fourth semester. I actually have interest in front end development, graphic designing and Courses related to my filed such as software quality , requirement engineering Construction and design and others. I don't have much interest in coding part. Kindly tell me which career oppertunities and subjects should I opt for and now I have free time because of summer How should I make it more productive. I also want to start freelancing
Look into the field of system admnistration. It has limited coding requirements (though you should still be ABLE to code well -- even if you don't HAVE to). Go through the OS playlist in full. That should get you started.
Sir as you didn't mention to learn any specific domain like dev, ai etc & in most of the cases we see students around us learning those from the very first semester which sometimes causes us inferiority complex & feels like we'll be left behind if we don't learn any domain in our 1st semester. How do you see this?
Don't worry about that. You will get to it in the second semester and if you do Intro to Computing playlist well, you will shoot past those who do not have their foundation built string. Best of luck and post in comments if you have any queries.
i did Fsc pre medical but emerging technologies fascinates me and i took 1.5years to take admission in gov uni for CS just for the sake of degree and learn skills from high standard courses to remain upto date in market. what should be my approach? what should i avoid in CS? am going to start my uni
I did Pre-Med too before coming to CS (no additional-math) so you should be ok from a technical side. Regarding approach: you've already watched this video. Stay tuned for future videos in this series where I share the plan in detail. If you do all that, you should be great inshaallah.
@@recluze 😳😳 this thing stumble down my body, I have wasted my one year while thinking that as I'm not from CS background so that's why I couldn't get the things better like others, but this thing boosts ma motivation and give me new zeal new way to think, kash ap pehly mil gy hoty to 1 saal pura fazool soch soch kr zaya na krta, btw dair ay drust ay, thank you so much 😍
Wa'alaikumussalam. I would recommend doing as much before the start of your first semester as possible. It will help guide your efforts in the right direction inshaallah. Also go through the "how to approach learning" playlist in full.
I'm 2nd semester at nust .i learnt basics of basic data strcutrues from cs50 . I'm also freelancer doing web development. I don't have that much good dsa to do leetcode/codeforces problem . Do i focus on more practical learning or large pratice of dsa is required to become better engineer or i focus of industry standard projects and currently i'm learning generative ai to make my web development to advance web dev with ai integersted in it .
A.A. Your best bet is to create as many projects as you can, post them on your website and on github. Please go through my "career counseling" videos in the How to Approach Learning playlists. There's detailed discussion of this over there.
I don't usually suggest specific universities because not everyone can get into the university of their choice. Also, the whole point of this channel is that it doesn't matter which university you are in if you put in the efforts from your own side. In any case, I will try to create a separate video on this topic as this requires a bit of elaboration.
One thing I personally like about linux is that when you are going to install a tool or software you don't have to do that "next next" thing. One command and you are done = life easy

Sir agr koi bsse krna chahta ha tou na kare? Actually mana aap ki wo wali video dekhi ha jis ma aapna teeno degrees ka difference btaya ha but sir maa aik software develop krna chahta hu I know HEC k syllabus kasa ha but ma RU-vid sa bsse k sath sath kuch na kuch learn krta rahu ga, so please sir guide me, ma aik software ma in future kaam krna chahta hu meri khwab ha ya cheez so ma bsse karu ya apka sath bscs please guide sir Thanks
Jaise Sir ne Bola, dono hee software develop kar saktain hain, lekin mai aik aur baat add kar daita hoon, Software Engineering k course se behter hai k Computer Science ka course lain in *most* universities kiun k unka course acha nahi hota. Lekin kuch exceptions hain for e.g NUST aur FAST, inka SE ka course mostly CS jaisa hai, lekin usme kuch cheezain jo irrelevant rehti hai software development mai, unko management aur SE related cheezon se replace kiya gaya hai.
