Hey Allister, I have been riding a skateboard for almost 39 years. I would recommend hitting the city at night when there are less people on the sidewalks and get use to navigating around moving obstacles like people, cars etc Have fun and be safe!

You should try to review one of the Lacroix boards if you can manage to borrow one from somebody in NYC. Definitely the best board I've ever ridden. Expensive but it's in another league compared to any Boosted or Evolve (other than portability haha). Can't beat 35+mph top speed and 30+ miles of range with AT tires. Super controllable and easy to ride as well. I've had a few beginners try it with no problem. Would be cool to start seeing them on some bigger eskate youtube channels. I bring mine down with me when I visit NYC if you can't find anyone around that's willing to lend you one for a review.
Will be interesting to see how Boosted's new wheels stand up to the streets of NYC. Will you be getting a lav mic any time soon, Sam? I feel it will be a good investment.
I wish this came with the standard range battery as an option. I'm planning to get a Boosted Board when I fly to the USA on December. Right now the Mini S is the most airline friendly. Too bad it's 2mph slower. The V2 SR is an option but I really like the shortboard form factor.
That is great news! I'm really hoping this board saves me both time and money in the long run. I drive my son to school every day and it can take up to 45 minutes to drive 2.5 miles one-way! I intend to drive my son to school and leave the car there, then ride the board back to the office. When it's time to pick him up, I can ride the board back to the school, then take the car back home with him. :D I wanted the Mini X or V2 because of the extra speed (to save time I can use for work) while also having relatively good hill-climb abilities (most of the way to school is uphill). Hoping they got the motor issues sorted out too. Been to Reddit and it's littered with those complaints.... Anyway I have 3 months to go before I fly to the USA and get one. Should have time for Boosted to sort out potential manufacturing issues.

All of the new boards seem affected. I read it was a bad batch of motors causing play on the pinion/pulley system. It's not really terminal for the board, but it does create a loud annoying sound (from the videos posted on Boosted's subreddit). Some people say adjusting belt tension out of the box (apparently they come too tight) helps.
would love if boosted had a way to allow newbies to test their boards before we bought them. Living in Ohio we don't have alot of people that have them so not to many poeple to test them from.
Do you have any known stories of people getting the x onto planes? I want the x but I travel a lot and would love to be able to travel with my board. I know the s is airline approved but is there any tricks to getting an x on a plane?
Mikey Shelley yeah for sure. I’m not actually in many situations at this point where I would run out of range on the S without having convenient access to power. But those couple times when it does happen is compelling enough to consider risking it lol. The irony is that most scenarios that I would need extra range is when I travel lol 😂
I wish I could get mine up and running I've had such a bad experience with boosted support. The board I got was dead on arrival, and it takes 2-3 days to get a single response back from boosted. They have given me 3 different "fixes" for the same issue yet, none of them have done anything. In addition they won't tell me what the error code means so I cant even do any research myself as apparently these error codes are unique to the boosted mini X so I haven't found anyone one else online with my issue. I got my board 2 weeks ago and finally just got my return slip to send it back. I'm honestly appalled by their support staff, especially for a brand new defective product I'd assume they would do their best to make sure that the customer isn't highly impacted by a manufacturing mistake.
I love the Boosted Mini’s but unfortunately the only board that can travel is the S but it goes 2mph slower :( I had to buy the mini S just for the fact that I can travel with it
Zack Miller Yeah that’s true I guess. How much would it be to buy a standard range battery? The thing is that I have to fly an intercontinental flight when I move back and I’m not sure if I can take the extended battery with me, either checked or in my carry on. Do you happen to know? Isabella Boosted just started selling them for 300$, but on eBay you can probably find one for 150. I bought mine on eBay for 70 a while ago. Prices have gone up since.
@@MikeyShelley you cannot check a battery ever... If something happened and ut caught fire flight attendendst wouldn't be able to attempt to put it out so it would bring the plane down... You can buy a used standard battery and put it on the x... Go to the boosted boards subreddit

This is my personal opinion you can’t get a long board that’s electric noware near as good as a boosted board but there is a lot of skateboards that are electric that are still very good I Bought a boosted board stealth and a zinc Gyro electric cruiser which goes tops of 12 mph and has a 3 charging time and three hours of riding time for only 150 UK pounds another alternative if you don’t want to spend a lot of money on two Boosted boards is get them secondhand you can get a Boosted board stealth for about 800 UK pounds secondhand and a mini X for about £700 and if that still pricey a dual plus can be cheaper for 650 at least and a mini S can be about £400-£500 if there is any mistakes it is because I’m using voice type
Hi Sam, I’m writing to you to ask about possibly having you invest in me getting a boosted mini, my commute to work/school is just over 4 miles. I am working and going to college full time and was wondering if you’d be interested in giving me any condition boosted board mini x. All the money I make from work goes towards my rent/insurance. I understand it is a long shot but I have some hope :)
Hey! That helmet looks like the hard shell has come loose from the foam inside which means it's likely taken a hard impact. You need to get a new helmet.
I really want a mini x bc I already have one of those $400 Chinese boards and it's something small, will a tail, and portable. but if the x was like $700 I could maybe afford it but 1 grand is way out of the budget
