It's truly sad Maxwell Lord, the guy who formed the iconic Justice League International, ended up becoming one of Earth's most dangerous threats. Power Girl was the most emotionally affected by what happened to her friend Maxwell.
WW1 is actually a pretty fascinating and underrated setting for a superhero story. Hans von Hammer and George Joestar II are pretty cool aerial heroes from this era. Wish there were more superhero stories based on The War to End All Wars
He was never responsible for the actions of his grandson. There's a reason it's "would you go back in time and kill baby Hitler" not "would you kill his parents".
I like the tragic irony. At the very least, Booster Gold only knew that he was saving someone that needed help. What the person or their descendents could become didn't cross his mind until after. Imagine how agonizing it would have been if Booster Gold did know who Cyrus Lord was, that he could stop Maxwell Lord from existing but he would need to abandon an innocent person to die.
And you have to remember that, that wouldn’t necessarily be a guarantee if he let him die that Maxwell Lord’s father, might already be born. And the fact that Maxwell, Lord’s grandfather wasn’t there to be in his life, might very well have been the linchpin that turned him into the villain, he does. A lot of people don’t realize the nuance and uncertainty of time travel.
Man, Booster just wants a life with his boyfriend alive. Guy can’t catch a break.. Literally every time he tries to save Ted’s life, the timeline gets messed up to the point that he needs to watch his beloved friend die AGAIN to save it. I’m pretty sure it’s canon that he goes back to times when Ted was alive (and us already his friend) to spend that time with him as much as possible to the point that there’s practically no space left for him to do that anymore without overlapping with himself lol
If i had a nickel for every time a time travel went back to a world war to accidentally save a future villain, i'd have 2 nickel. Which isn't alot but im surprised i know of 2 instances.
In the later half of Booster Gold’s career he becomes THE time traveling hero who saves the day behind the scenes and makes sure time travelers don’t strangle baby Superman. He still acts like a money hungry playboy but it’s all an act so no one suspects him of being so important. Only a handful of people know. The truth, Batman, Nightwing, both Blue Beetles, Rip Hunter and a couple time traveling villains like Parallax, Black Beetle, Extant, etc. Booster also sacrifices himself during Convergence to become the time god Waverider, and then goes back in time. Waverider has saved the day many times (like even helping beat Hunter/Prey Doomsday) so all those appearances were actually Booster in the future.
Grew up reading Jurgens. Love booster, and that run, was a love letter. From getting love from grumpy ass Bats, to seeing Ted again. Stuff made me cry!!
@DanExclaims Unrelated question, but i just wanted you thoughts on the planned Booster Gold show. Who do you want to play him? Do you think it will have Ted Kord, related to his disappearance and post credit scene in the Blue Beetle movie?
I mean, he can still kill him, it be like Deadpool killing baby hitler, also he also had the option of not saving him if he knew who he was which would of still been seen as him killing him but less of him getting his hands dirty
Booster Gold is a great character, but hardly anyone besides his creator Dan Jurgens has either respect or use for him. Putting him in the JLI was a serious mistake that was never quite fixed.

Yeah about that, Booster Gold CAN NOT stop Ted Kord's death unfortunately so Maxwell Lord couldn’t be stopped unfortunately neither can he stop Joker from paralyzing Barbara Gordon I forget why but I think it had to do with those two events be important events in time travel history I believe
Pop question, can Booster Gold create Flashpoint, enter the Speed Force or the Flash enter the Vanishing Point or meet the Flash at least once during time travel?
The Flash is able to time travel using his so called special built cosmic treadmill. Booster cannot go super fast. I don't know what's going on with the Fladpoint reality. I thought it was just an alternate reality created by mistake due to the Flash trying to change the past that got wiped from reality when the Flash corrected his mistake.
Booster can create a ‘Flashpoint’ but that was mostly tailored by Thawne. Booster actually did that by ‘uncreating’ Batman (saving his parents) not too long ago… but the writer wrote Booster like the stupidest he’s ever been written. Like even rookie day 1 Booster wouldn’t have acted as dumb as that Booster did. But without Batman the world entered a Flashpoint-ish state. No Booster can’t enter Speedforce. That’s reserved for Flashes and characters with god tier speed (green lantern Hal Jordan on his own power and Wonder Woman with god boosts have both been able to bust into it). Yes they should be able to see each other in the time stream if they pass by. Booster and Jaime ran into Parallax and Extant while time traveling and it was really funny. They were plotting Zero Hour which had already happened years ago. Booster and Jaime just kinda waved as they passed and the god tier villains were just stunned to see anyone.
