The main take away from this video is that if you're thinking of doing the Stillen kit make sure you do the A2a kit as I mentioned multiple times. The vq37 can handle upwards of 600whp with no issues. You may feel supercharging can make a ton of power but until I see them topping the 60-130 or 1/4 mile list I stand by what I said. Happy to be proven otherwise. The supercharger setups seem to have the hit but then don't carry the power after that to actually be fast. But let's see where the platform takes us.

My man... So I've been building my setup over the past year now... 3 things I'm begging you to mention... LSD Tire setups and clutch kits. 600WHP is awesome.. but putting it down is another issue... There is no CLEAR CUT information... Do we go CSC Elimination kits? Do we go heavy duty CSC? OG silken clutch? Worth it to spend 2k on a clutch setup? Or just get a 1300 Z1 clutch kit? LSD... Do they help in a straight line? 1.5 or 2 way? (Think of having to OH SH.. On your breaks.. 60-150 is easy... Now reverse it with a weak LSD... Wobble city right? These are things people need to know...

@@clintpopham5691 regaurding boost. 2 way diff helps more straight line so if u can afford to swap the core sure, however for launching, standard lsd is adequate - suspension and tires will affect this more. if that is your concern add a power brace behind the rear diff. theyre cheap and do help. if u already have a vlsd wait for it to blow (it will eventually) and then do it. if you change the clutch, upgrade the csc bearing. lighten the flywheel at same time My G is stock everyones opinions vary regaurding what the stock motor can handle, most seem to advise avoiding making over 500wheel and 450ft/lb. in NZD my car cost 13k, any decent boost kit is 9K nzd, forged internals with all seals and billet oil pump gear are 5K (no labour) @Nitish21 can i get away with not forging if i stay at or below 500wheel? chur

I was really surprised at this video, as you spent the whole time crapping on supercharger set ups. In doing so, you focused on an outdated kit. No one who researches the VQ setup uses the stock Stillen kit, which has a reputation for blowing motors while under performing. Rather, the SOHO and TopGunz kits both use A2A inter-cooling out of the box and, with flex fueling, easily make 600 plus horsepower to the wheels. Supercharge set ups also place far less stress on the stock engine (rods). You are right that a turbo will make more power; however, that extra power results in higher labor install costs, more maintenance, more stress on the engine and more heat (especially with the top mounted turbos). Just because you love your sister doesn't mean you need to crap on your brother!

@@tracyhenry2221 So how did I make it all the way to Brandy!!!! LOL. As you might expect, I'm a supporter of supercharged boosting. It's also better for emissions testing. I am dropping my car off to Dynosty on Monday for the installation of my TopGuns Air to Air Supercharger kit, with flex fuel.

Love the vids man keep the content coming 🔥. The only thing I might add is that you didn’t mention the soho kit or the topgunz kit which both are a2a and way way better than the stillen kit. (The topgunz Kit actually uses a modified stillen blower setup; by Aaron Dittus) and the GTM kit which used to receive negative reviews has improved as well

Your "cost" for a turbo kit is extremely optimistic. Sure, you can find a beat up used turbo kit for that price, but why would anyone buy used performance modifications?? Especially for a large power increase. And unless people plan to install themselves, you left out installation, supporting mods, tune, etc.. I'd also recommend consulting your tuner on fuel system setup and injector size before going out and purchasing anything.

You're right but we did a bp kit we bought for around 6k used, they are 8k brand new so it's not that optimistic. The tt kits and other kits from like Soho are 10k+ new. Yea i wanted to go into more detail which I will in the turbo video. The supercharger video there really isn't much involved comparatively

Having an oil cooler for the supercharger oiling system addresses the heat soak issues

It doesn’t really the bigger issue is the heat of the air, a meth injection system is more beneficial for IAT and heat soak but a oil cooler is a must in general for boosted VQ

Reason i like centri blowers is because of California emissions if only there were carb legal turbos. I cant afford to get reffed or pay like 300-500$ for fake smog ontop of registration every year. I always wonder how people run turbo vqs in california with no issues.

@@CORNERSLUG its just a lot of boost and that flutter is technically compressor surge. Although it's not really dangerous since its off throttle and I think most turbos are even engineered to have anti surge it's not ideal so I think it was mostly as a safety precaution. I recall him mentioning about situations specifically like when you're doing full throttle and you let off but suddenly get back on throttle

I don’t know why everybody talks about Vortec super chargers or stillen superchargers like they’re the only ones out there I have ProCharger on mine get a hell of a lot more horsepower than what you’re saying those two put out and my engine is built just like yours. I always upgrade my parts. Make sure I got the best. Don’t mind paying overkill always good why don’t anybody ever talk about them put out power just watch the shows on TV no prep Street outlaws all that stuff. They always beat most out there.

Honestly you can make 400whp n/a on a stock motor it has happened and I think it’s cheaper than going the supercharger route. You mentioned 450whp us the Safest, Just add in a 50 shot 😁

Most run a flex plate for better reliability. The early gen 7at has been run countless times absolutely untouched though. The clutches, especially in 5th, 6th, and 7th gear, tend to have slippage, causing random spikes and a power curve equivalent to 📈. The q60 trans has a better valve body and has upgraded clutches to minimize the issues.

They are but what people don't know is that the supercharger kits that are for these cars aren't the roots style blowers like you get on a audi s4 or mustangs or corvettes or Mercedes. They are centrifugal vortech superchargers. So those require rpm to provide boost so it's literally a belt driven turbo it's still immediate power when u touch the throttle but in the low rpm it's quite mediocre

@@sleepervq605 on a high boost setup I have seen success with both so I don't really have a preference. Uprev is cheaper. In my personal car I'm running a Link g4+ n350 stand alone ecu. If I had a 370z I'd just tune on ecutek as that's the standard now for high boost setups

I don't like the non equal length piping the boosted performance kit is way better for sound and can make 900whp so I find it to be my favorite kit abs it's cheaper

What I don’t get is, why do you guys think vortex is the only supercharged system out there I don’t get it it’s like you guys haven’t heard ProCharger the company not Vortech or the other one I can’t stand I like you. But you never talk about any other kind of supercharger and if you watch street outlaws, nothing beats ProCharger. I’ve got everything that you’ve got on your cars except I am running a ProCharger not for Vortec. I wouldn’t touch it. Check them out you might have a different opinion mirror the whole reason your VQ, Infiniti is the whole reason I got into building this thing with ProCharger. I’m popping out over 1000 hp yeah and yes, my engine is built everything you have in yours. I have in mind updated a lot of stuff all my parts made sure I got the best. I don’t understand why people only talk about Vortech.
