A tall 9inch full grain leather boot, with Spotex waterproof membrane and Vibram sole. Made in Italy, lightweight and warm from Grisport with free boot-bag,merino wool socks and spare laces, free-postage all for £105. I will review the boots after some cold wet days up on the North Yorkshire moors.

I got a pair of the rangers as when I saw the keeper boots with the strip around the edges which looked like they wouldn't last five minutes in the field. If the strip was made from a rubber like other well known brands I may have bought the keeper boots but settled for a pair of rangers which are very similar to yours and boy are they comfortable. Over the years I've spent three times the amount of money on a pair but not now these boots are outstanding value and made very well indeed. A few years ago I got a pair of grisport walking shoes from a guy on the market in Northallerton and I'm still wearing them to this day, which reminds me I need a new pair as I've about worn out the sole as they are worn daily and the leather has never split nor cracked in the time I've had them and they've had some use too.I I can definitely recommend Grisport to anyone looking for a good quality boot or walking shoe.

Thanks for watching and leaving a great comment......I know two people who have the keeper-boots(used in the field on pheasant shoots) and they say they are a good boot, although a tad on the wide side, I paid £80 for a second pair of the decoy boots as i got an extra discount........they are unbelievable value. I made a video a year or two ago on my boot collection and they compare well to any of them, maybe the Le Chameau are better quality but they cost £200 plus...cheers mate.

Thanks very much.......Yes being made in Italy was one of the reasons they caught my eye.....I used them for 60days on a pheasant shoot over the winter on rough terrain/rain/snow and they are 100% waterproof and comfortable straight out of the box. I actually bought a second pair, at the time they cost £85 (with a discount from Grisport). Always cleaned them after use and applied Dubbin to replenish the leather. I purchased the grisport boots about 1 year ago for the purpose of hunting and other activities. This model here in Australia is called the hi country. I’ve done many long hunting, hiking and fishing days in these boots. Up and down steep rocky hills, through blackberry vine thorns, deep boggy puddles and shallow streams and remained dry comfortable and protected. I regularly clean, dry and condition as per manufacturers instructions. I usually use waterproof cream to Finnish. Absolutely unreal boots for the money. Light weight for the height. Great ankle support, grippy as anything. It feels like the boots do the walking for you. Would recommend.

Can confirm, I have had a pair of Grisport Pecos for years and they're the best footwear I've ever had. I've reached all the highest peaks in the Italian Appennines (Gran Sasso, Majella, Terminillo etc.) with them, never got a blister, always comfortable and safe (except on wet roots!). I'm looking at this video because I'm thinking about buying this model too, looks quite cool.

Cheers Ged......I'll be out on the moors for 8hrs tomorrow, through bracken,heather,bogs etc so will find out how good they are. Quite pleased with the Merino socks as well, like you say the boot-bag will be handy to chuck in the boot of a car.............ATB...........Stu......👍😊

Not too many reviews and unboxing videos for Grisport boots, loads of fluff from folk selling em but not much by folk who actually wear em, thanks for the sensible "first sight" review, I've been looking at getting either the decoy or keeper boots for trudging round my patch of East Yorkshire lol

No problem I have worn them for pheasant-beating for at least 6weeks now and found them very comfortable,warm and highly waterproof. Just a quick Dubbin after every outing and they look like new...........thanks for the comment.

Had my decoy boots for about two and half years still going strong but, the bottom half of the bellows tongue seems not to be made of leather and has degraded and has started to leak slightly, overall though still a good boot,just bought a pair of grisport gamekeeper boots which are slightly more sturdy so should last even longer.

As far as I can see that is the only downside to these boots, its the only weak spot(bellows either side of the leather tongue) I apply dubbin to that area as well and so far no leaks(had them nearly 2years now). Appreciate you taking the time to comment Peter............cheers.....👌👍......I know a couple of gamekeepers with the ''keeper-boot'' and they are very satisfied with them.

I wouldn't describe the soul as too stiff(there is some give) they are designed for rough terrain. Not as flexible as synthetic boots, all depends on your personal preference. Where would you be using them ?........Im not a heavy person and they are perfect for me(walking moorland, rocky paths, fells and marshy conditions etc) straight out of the box.......Cheers......Stu...👍

Thanks for the quick answer. Rather than for long walks I was thinking in using them as a winter boot at snowy environments, even to use them once and then with snowshoes

@@aznarfernandezdepinedo7882 They would be good for that, quite lightweight for a 9inch boot and deep cleats on the sole, very waterproof(I use gold label dubbin, keeps the leather supple and water just beads off).

I have been out in all weathers in them on the north-yorks moors and they have kept me warm and dry, very light on your feet too.......one thing to bear in mind is they soak up a lot of wax/dubbin and you need to re-apply wax/dubbin regulary......I bet the price has gone up at least 30%.......cheers...Stu.

Hello what about insoles ? I was planning to buy another YDS gtx boots but there is currently no stock for a long time so i turned my eyes to other brands, found grisport boots are closer and similar to boots that YDS produces. Good absorbing and arch supporting insole is important for me in a boot

They do come with insoles but as with most boots they are not the best, I usually take them out out and replace them with Sorbothane Cush N Step insoles, they can be found online for under £5 and are very good. Thanks for watching...Stu...👍👍

I have had them on twice both very wet days on the moors and they performed well, feet bone dry after heavy rain and trekking through bracken,bogs and long wet grass, so far so good George.......ATB......Stu/Wendy...👍😊👌

Yep...........done 70days on the moors last season and so far another 15days this season, still going strong with no leaks. Got 2 pairs and at less than £90 per pair...........just bang a bit of dubbin on them after every shoot day...........reckon they will be £100 a pair now though.
