Hey Everyone,
Today's the day! Today, we're going to show you everything you need to know to flash a BootMod3 tune by ProTuning Freaks, to your BMW! The best part is you NO LONGER NEED TO REMOVE THE DME!! The first time you flash your car, it takes about 10-15 minutes, but it gets faster after that, once your DME is unlocked (this happens during the first flash). In this video, we will briefly walk you through all of the main components of BootMod3 and show you how to flash your car.

- Laptop (Windows or Mac)
- BootMod3 License (Link below)
- Enet Cable
On the current version, you'll also need JAVA JDK 8 (Version 9 does not work)

Just got Stage 1 with 93 octane tuned on my 2017 X5. It’s awesome. Love the power n torque gain. Way better than getting the new 2019 X5. I like the F15 body style better.

Dude for whatever reason my N55 just did not like the BMS stage one, it was working one day, blew my charge pipe got that fixed and now I get drivetrain malfunction every time I get on it

I just bought a 435i w/ stage 2 93 octane bootmod. I've got intercooler, charge pipe, catless etc. It was like this when I bought it and its an absolute 🚀...I don't know much about tuners etc but your video is EXTREMELY helpful ty.

The seatbelt tip is really important guys, this applies to everything, especially if you're updating your NAV, which takes about an hour from the 30GB install. If your ECU shuts down, you'll brick the NAV. I'm doing my 2nd update now with the 2020 NBT North America NEXT.

I went with BootMod3 for my 2014 N55 M Sport. Just finished installing today. I'm just running Stage 1 until I get my Downpipe. It truly feels amazing and I have used the piggyback type of tuning previously. The burble from the exhaust sounds awesome too.

Once you are flashed to stage 2, do the changes only take effect while in sport or sport+? I suppose a better question is how does a bootmod3 tune (let's say Stage 2 + Transmission) work in accordance with the 4 different drive modes?

Hi Bryan, Definitely considering this for my 328i N20. I have a jb4 but there are some dislikes about it for sure. I want to know a few things about bootmod3, if you would be so kind. 1. Unlike jb4 will bootmod3 boost over stock psi below 50% throttle? 2. Can it be used to auto delete codes since i have a catless DP? 3. Are the OTS maps a purchase or free with the license? Kies Motorsports Thank you I think the problem is I wasn’t using Google Chrome but the flash was completed without issues or at least I hope so I didn’t get a chance to drive a car but under my new ots map it says downloaded, I will start the whole program again once I install Google Chrome I just used simple “safari/google” browser on MacBook Pro.

I just installed this days ago on f30 320i and coded sport transmission using bimmercode. It turned the car into a different beast. hp currently at around 250 ish. Was using jb+ prior to this, I recommend this over jb+ or even jb4.

Brian, When you flash the car with say Stage 1 and then want to go back to Stock Flash, does it take you the IStep Version the car was on or does it update to the latest one? I for one want to stick with the IStep Version I have (2016 M3) and don't want the newer one. Thanks.

would it make a difference if you use an obd2 cable that already has a USB apposed to one that has an ethernet connector and using an adapter? you talked about all the pros in your video, but no product is perfect. in the time that you have been using Bootmod3 what would you say the drawbacks are, and what have you done to combat them?

I have an F30 with the N55 engine, 6clydinder inline, 2013 BMW 335i 4-door sedan. It is all stock. It has staggered fitment wheels, Front 225/40ZR19 and rear 255/35 ZR19. If I install Bootmod on th ecar, how much additional horsepower can I anticipate getting out of the stock? What modes should I do on the car that will enable me to get more out of Bootmod? What aftermarket wheels do you recommend? I live in Northern VA in the DC area.

I just went with the Stage 2 Tune from VF Engineering on my M4 CP. I’m using their downpipe and a Remus exhaust and I’ve never been happier, well worth it! I now have the GTS tune which, to add to what you said, gives you the GTS’ startup roar, gives you the overrun burble (I already had some burble with my stock CP and now, with a proper setup, sounds mega), and the shifts are so incredibly fast (dare I say near Porsche PDK fast) Now, the Golden topic... power... the difference is day and night and with the addition of the AC Schnitzer RS suspension, my car runs like a completely different beast and the best part, she’s useable for daily driving!

So far, it's amazing. I'm on the 93 octane map with a downpipe and intercooler, so it is aggressive, but tons of fun. I had a burble tune, but I went back to the other 93 octane tune, because I thought it felt smoother. They're still working on some updates on the N55 PWG Burble tune, but the burbles sounded amazing when I had it on..

So I flashed stage 2 BM3 with version 4 and then just updated to version 5. And wow the car feels completely different with so much more power down low. The pops/burbles are insane but the car is not aggressive in DSC off setting. I told Halim from PTF about this and he said he will add it.

What are some brands that I can look into for a high-flow 200cel downpipe. I really don't think I want to go the catless version judging by your videos that I have seen and read up on. Thanks for any insight you can give, your videos are awesome Bryan keep up the good work.

Just out of curiosity I have been looking into Fabspeed even though they are way more expensive. It catches my eye that their product states it will not throw a CEL on the dash is this to be the same with the ER sports cat. Figured I'd ask how you felt about this claim since you seem to be the F30 guru right about now lol, any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Can you still launch your car? At what point it becomes too much power/torque for the drivetrain?

I have a Dinantronics Stage 1 Tune on my 2017 M240i XDrive. When I do this BM3 Tune, what happens to my Dinan Tune? Will it override, disengage, etc. the Dinan parameters?
