I've been to boracay in the Philippines. It's a beautiful place. I was impressed by the blue sky, the sea, the local people's enthusiasm, the lively seafood market and the delicious seafood. But what I can't forget most is the feeling of sailing in the dusk. The setting sun and sea breeze completely relax my body and mind.
I love it! You sound like my ever favorite- Anthony Bourdain! My mom and our other relatives live there. I got to see how Boracay changed over the years. When I was a small kid, it really looks amazing! Like a virgin island.. A lot of palm trees and no tall buildings..
This is an awesome guide on Boracay. I was meant to be there early last year to do an official guide with TripAdvisor but of course, COVID19 rescheduled the plans to do it for the later half of this year. I like watching other peoples content on the area as it helps me study and get inspiration from other talented creators. You're awesome. Thank you for sharing!
I must admit that part of the allure of Boracay is a combination of partying & relaxation. Now that partying and some beach activities are banned I can see why other party resorts are increasingly becoming more popular. I mean when Boracay shutdown majority went to Puerto Galera & Flotsam resort to party. El Nido, Siargao and Coron on the other are still more idylic than Boracay if you’re looking for plain adventure & scenic island views. Too much regulation on Boracay are driving tourists away. It’s now much suited to the retirees who just wants a quiet place to relax.
I agree with your comments. As I made my points as well. The new Boracay has driven tourists away, the old boracay had a great balance between party and relaxation. Now it's just made for retirees
It’s interesting that you saw Boracay at its worst. It kind of reminds me of of what El Nido looks like now. I really liked the beaches in Palawan, but my favorite beach to chill is Flamenco Beach in Puerto Rico. I recommend to take the ferry... if you like ferries. It can be a bit of a headache to take the ferry, but it’s worth it in my opinion.
Yeah, was pondering that myself, the beautiful Islands of the Philippines has been around for ........, but it’s only booming for some years now. In a way, glad not too many come ashore to take a glimpse of its natural beauty. Most likely due to volggers that it’s being know now to most travelers.
If you respect and love planet earth, you would prefer the new Boracay. Your video is self serving but I’ll still give u a thumbs up for your effort and becuz I ain’t self serving!
I've spent several months there on and off and it's definitely cleaner now along White beach 1 - 3 than before. BUT, no more dining on the beach, no beach chairs , no more unique vendors, no more night lights in the Palm trees, no fire dancing , no fireworks , no more Wahine's @ Diniwid as it's mostly been demolished and turned into a Banca Boat parking lot . Great place now for an alcoholic, in other words Pretty but Boring as hell. Lost its famous ambience. I'm surprised the Sun still sets there ! Glad I have my old videos and memories to look back at. Aloha P.S. Your videos are very well done , great job.
That’s what I feared and alluded to in the video. It is a shame to hear all that as I liked old Boracay just fine. Thanks for watching! Glad you enjoyed
I totally agree with you, the old Boracay was amazing, I would travel to boracay three times per year, it had amazing ambience day and night, lounging on the beach day and night, I would tell all my friends about this island, I love it. But now the new Boracay is now Boringcay, there is nothing to do on this island anymore, and the stats show, half the tourists have not returned back to the island and the tourists numbers have reduced by half since the new opening. So sad as I missed the Phillipines and Boracay. Maybe one day I may return, but too many vloggers say that it's boring there... so it's off my list for now. The rebranding of the island and marketing has been a disaster as tourists are not flocking back to the island because it's boring with no nightlife or tourists facilitates. The government was meant to fix the infrastructure not destroy tourism
@@theovelentzas7540 I'm still wishing that when and " if "they finish reconstruction it will slowly re-evolve to somewhat like it used to be . There's always hope. Aloha
Waikiki Walt well like the corruption in the Phillipines as it is.... the new president has done great things for the country and I am very sure that when his term is up. Boracay will become the old as money and corruption is a cancer in Phillipines
And please... if you are going back to the Philippines please visit the filipinos all time dream destination- the Batanes! I would love to hear your exquisite narrative when you where there. Promise you, you will go back to your roots!❤
Like your video, the new Boracay is pristine yet unfortunately its now known as Boringcay because it has stripped away all the tourist facilities and day and night vibe it once had. So sad that once vibrant island is now gone. And I agree with you the Boracay of old was better without the cesspool of course. Boracay was once a paradise lost to tourist, all good things that once was, has now come to an end. The rebrand of Boracay is no longer, it's more fun in the Phillipines but more Boring in Boracay.
If the government especially tourism secretary mrs Romulo Puyat keeps boracay clean and implement strict new laws in boracay island, the revenue of the island will definitely increase and the money will be used for infrastructure project like roads in bolabog, old electric post replacement etc.
What a great vlog. A beautifully shot, informative, honest look at travel to Borocay and of the "new" Borocay. Thankfully theres no idiotic "high fiving" of locals or ridiculous clickbaiting like some other travel vloggers in the Philippines (that shall remain unnamed) are constantly doing! SMH
This is the most underated channel. Exceptional and poetic narration however you need to work more on your cinematics. Make it more enticing and playful. Do u happen to hire a camera men? 😊
Finished watching and still have no idea why the title of the video is "Boracay Travel Guide".. The entire video he was babbling random stuff. And what's the point of showing his naked body half of the video?
Pick N Roll I guessed you missed the part where I tell you how to get there, which part of the island to stay in, the hotel I used, the different beaches, local restaurant, the mall. Replay and focus. You got this 😉
I'm originally from the Philippines but never been to Boracay. Been to almost all the beaches in Hawaii, ie, Waikiki, Maui, Big Island and all the other beaches of Hawaii. Been to Cancun as well. They're all fun places to go to. Wonder how Boracay is compare to all those places? Guess I'll never know till I get there.
@@lookolooko7949 Boracay is in a thirld world country. Waikiki has more tourist than Boracay. Look it up and you'll see. I know you are proud Pinoy and proud of Boracay but don't get carried away.
@@md929 we are comparing boracay and to the place you mentioned. Im not comparing YOUR country and MY country. Intindihin mo mabuti ang usapan. Im not the one saying Boracay is n umber one but the travel agencies and travel magazines. They never mentioned the places that youre proud of.. Search it.
@@lookolooko7949 Ok got it but I would rather be in Waikiki than Boracay. I see Boracay on RU-vid all the time. I would rather go to Waikiki. Easier to get to. Boracay is still in a third world country and not very easy to go to. Look up Waikiki on RU-vid and you will see the difference. Don't get me wrong, I would love to visit Boracay. We were just in the Philippines three weeks ago. I love the Philippines, it's my birth country but it needs a lot of improvement. It's crowded, no place to park, hot, etc...As far as Boracay being on top and none of the Hawaiian beaches being on top, they were on top before Boracay was on top. Even Cancun. Look it up and you'll know.
I watched this again, it's really good, stylistic, different. If youtube gives out awards like the Grammys or the Oscars, this would win something, I'm not sure which category, but it will win something or at least get nominated!
@@MitchellTravels its up to you. Just a piece of advise. Actually it seems sarcastic all over the place not just in some instances. Cant you see most comments that said they enjoyed are also sarcastic. But still do enjoy!
i prefer the boracay of old as it was wild and free, i am not much of a drinker but vacations have to be fun otherwise i'd rather stay at home, watch tv and drink beer.
