Their is a meta joke in that despite the Borat character holding anti-Semitic views, the language he is speaking when he is not speaking English is Hebrew. Sasha Baron Cohen is a British Jewish comedian who speaks Hebrew fluently
It's funny because Sacha Baron Cohen is Jewish, so a lot of the "Khazak" that he's speaking with his producer in the movie is actually just Hebrew with a Slavic accent.
In Borat's town, people didn't know that the filming was for the cinema, nor did they have any idea what Sacha Cohen was talking about. When they found out, people were outraged at Cohen.
This guy build an entire career by mocking us. Recently he did an interview for jimmy fallon where he mocked us once again. We hate him in Kazakhstan and in Romania(where they filmed this disgusting movie)
@@АлуаКай It's curious that a Jewish artist would use so much prejudice against a people. He did this with gays in Bruno. But he would never do something similar with (for example) the Orthodox in Israel.
Compared to most reactors I've seen watch this movie you did pretty good Emma. Most people are convinced this was all real because they used so many regular people instead of actors which can fool you into believing it was real instead of a comedian, Sacha Cohn, pulling the wool over everyone's eyes. This is the type of humor I call "cringe comedy" because it can make you feel so uncomfortable due to the situations unfolding before your eyes.
It's actually a miracle Sasha survived makes this. I'm so embarrassed as an American. That Weatherman deserves an award straight up. And yes Pamela was in on this. Great success!
Stealing brides is still practised in some rural parts of Kirgistan, so Borat's "Kazaki wedding" is not really that far off when you think about it. Even in Finland, in the ancient times, stealing women from enemy tribes as wives was a thing.
Loved watching you laugh. Saw this in a theater. The place was packed and people were laughing so hard, they were crying. Hope you can get a chance to watch the sequel to this movie "Borat: Subsequent Moviefilm." It is rare for a sequel to be as good as the original film but "Subsequent Moviefilm" achieves that. Highly recommend it.
@@DustinHawke I see. Whenever I have to write a word/name a letter or accent of which I miss on my keyboard I always copy and paste it. 👍 However, in the case of "ä", "ö" and "ü" you are lucky as you can legitimately substitute them by typing "ae", "oe" and "ue" instead. After all Freddy Krüger from "A Nightmare on Elm Street" is also spelt "Freddy Krueger" in English. 🙂
Amazingly enough, the sequel Borat Subsequent Moviefilm manages to be even crazier. Since he can't do his usual thing anymore because he's too famous and recognizable, he disguises himself as "not Borat" so as not to tip people off, and takes a back seat while his daughter Tutar (Maria Bakalova was nominated for an Oscar for this) stole the show. And before you ask, yes the scene with the daughter and the mayor was real, and yes it caused a major shitstorm in the US when it happened.
Emma is from Russia originally, speaks fluent German as her 2nd Language, now residing in Canada, so Canadian(English), 3rd Language; Hope this was of some help;
I think the objective was to make something unconventional that had truly never been made before with this as well the sequel. Very John Watters and I appreciate that about it other than just watching Sacha's performance. I mean when you can insert the character into reality and become them and many to date do believe Borat is who he is you really pulled off something special.
I mean it wasn't such a bad deal he was offering. I didn't see tommy lee offering her her own plow or a wedding sack with such fine and elegant stitching
Some Scenes were filmed in the Hit and Run Technic. That means, you film before the Police is coming. Emma, your Channels are really great. Please go on further this Way. Good Night and good Luck.😃😃😃
This is a reload and it's disclosed by Emma in the description, before anyone else comments on this. This happens when videos get taken down due to copy rights, it channels get hacked, or any other possible issues. Let's not assume bad intentions or deceiving on the channel creator
What is special ?: most of this movie was filmed with a hidden camera (nothing scripted), the only actors are Borat, his big friend Azamat & Pamela Anderson (but not the securitty guards). The movie got a record number of lawsuits and was banned in both Russia & Kazakhstan. About the scene with Pamela Anderson, she was paid for the movie, so she knew what was coming, but she understood the concept of the movie, so she didn't tell her security guys about it (and she had fun--first time that she got a role in a silly comedy, so she had a lot of fun doing it). Have a nice day.
Whilst I dislike how political he's become in recent things he's done, Sacha's Ali G, Bruno, Borat, The Dictator, and The Brother's Grimsby will always be some of my favourite (and, I'd argue, the best) comedy movies, and comic creations, of all time. I've literally seen every outtake and extra shot of Bruno, and the movie itself, more times than any other movie, with Borat being a close second. They're amazing and hilarious imo.
@@profanepersonality I didn't say I dislike THAT he's political, rather HOW political he's become. Older movies like Borat have nods to politics and his views, but compare that with the second Borat and Who Is America?, for example, it's much more in-your-face politically and I dislike that. Not because of what his views are, but because I think unless your job is overtly political, you shouldn't lecture the public, which is exactly what he's doing by only taking the piss out of one side of the political spectrum. So, you can 'bet' whatever you like about me, but my point is entirely valid and makes sense. You just haven't understood the difference between disliking someone being political and someone increasing how obvious they're being with their political affiliations. It's like how I like stand-up comedians who rinse all politics and politicians, but not those who only focus on one party. I think doing that is manipulative and spineless, not to mention ostracising to a lot of their audience.
@@JBW27 that's fair, I do think Borat 2 and Who Is America were much more directly political than his previous stuff. A lot of people missed the clear political influences in earlier stuff though so I think that's why people like to point out his history of political influences to his content. What was nice with Who Is America was seeing some new characters, I'd love another undercover mockumentary with an original character and more subtle political tones. I agree with a lot of his politics actually but it's still nice to escape at least a little bit from that world
Please watch Bud Spencer and Terence Hill action-comedy movies: Who Finds a Friend Finds a Treasure (1981) Double Trouble (1984) Go for It (1983) Two Missionaries (1974) Odds and Evens (1978) Crime Busters (1977) Super Fuzz (1980) They Call Me Trinity (1970)
I've always said my 3 favorite comedies are tied between Borat, Liar Liar and Tropic Thunder. Thank you for reacting to this one. By the way, I can't place it, but where is your accent from?
@@MaorFrom1993 The inverted commas are there to illustrate that, in the film, it's SUPPOSED to be "Kazakh". For the record, there's some Polish in there too.
This movie is one I stayed away from for some time. Then I bit the bullet, and almost fell of my chair laughing, over, and over again. If you want some serious escapism from the day to day grind, its silliness is an absolute Gem! _(BTW; I am an Australian penticostal Christian, and yes Jesus is Lord... Peace.)_ *Great reaction as usual.*

It may well be the language barrier, as it looks like English is not her primary language, and I have much respect for people who are not only multilingual but also do their YT channel in their second language HOWEVER, the reaction was not perfect as you say. Her reaction to the sight gags and many of the obvious verbal gags is good, but much of the humour gets lost in translation.

i'm a free speech absolutist, not just for comedy but i think its essential for a functioning democracy. This movie(and others, we all know which ones) was distasteful at best and malicious at worst. It's seen funny because it's a hyperbolic caricature of a perceived Truth. The thing is that sliver of "Truth" needs to be true, otherwise its just an agenda ridden social commentary disguised as comedy. I found it funny too, until i didn't.
